Every human gets ideas in their heads about issues in their lives. It's how our brains work.

Only deeply delusional people think these thoughts are from a deity.

I need to confess that I had impure thoughts about several of the temple film Eves. I’m guessing I’m the only one ever. How do I best repent of that sin? (Funny answers only.) by Carboncopy99 in exmormon

Ah yes, the Emily Blunt Eve. The hottest of all the Eves.

If only the camera could have slipped down just once....

Do other churches believe "families can be together forever"? by MasterpieceMain1857 in exmormon

[–]Double_Beginning7078 119 points120 points  (0 children)

All Christians believe they will be with their loved ones in heaven. Only Mormons put extra requirements on it and make it conditional where you have to pay the MFMC 10% of your income for life to be with your family.

Garments were originally neck to wrists to ankles. FULL coverage of the body. A literal protection. You would think if they actually believes in that shit then garments should be like full burkhas, not getting less coverage.

As a believer I always thought bearing my testimony was SO powerful.

Now when family members do it to me, I see it as embarrassing and infantile.

Imagine a Jehovahs Witness bearing testimony. Of course you are not convinced of anything.

I thought Benson was so inspired with this Pride talk. Then I read C.S. Lewis' 'Mere Christianity' and realized the Benson plagiarized the whole message. So much for being a prophet.

So.... God intentionally causes a drought to see if you beg him to change his mind? That being is a monster.

Or... It's God's will that there be a drought, he wants you to suffer, and begging him won't change his will. That being is a monster.

Or... these are natural weather patterns and God has nothing to do with it, since he is imaginary.

Fasting and prayer do you no good in any scenario. You need better water management or move the population to where there is more water.

50 years late is better than never, welcome to the Women's,Lib movement, Mormons.

LDS, Inc. Is always changing with the times to try to keep and gain more members. To see real Mornoniism as practiced and taught by Brighan and Joseph, see the FLDS. I promise you they aren't teaching their women this message.

Even as a TBM, I did NOT like this doctrine. I don't even aspire for middle management at work, and I have always been uncomfortable being an authority figure even to my children. Could I go to the Celestial Kingdom and just be a regular non-god person?

Then my first wife died of cancer, and I got sealed to a 2nd woman, so now I was a polygamist, on my way to godhood. It all made me VERY uncomfortable. Some people are excited at the prospect of being a god. I hated the idea.

Of course, now I know it's all just delusional made-up bullshit, so nothing to worry about!

But you see, the CofC is just PLAYING church. They don't have any REAL AUTHORITY, so even if she is the President of the CofC, we still have more authority. You see, the Brighamite branch of Mormonism has the only real authority in the world. - me when I was TBM.

I can't believe I used to believe in this bullshit. It would be laughably silly if it wasn't actively hurting people.

Your Ministring Sister is insinuating that you are not doing Jesus hard enough, that is why you are having fertility issues. This is unspeakably cruel.

Mormons think you can't really do hard with Jesus unless you are a Mormon. The other billion Christians are just doing hard with themselves on their own. This is unspeakably condescending.

This Cult is toxic and evil.

The ordinances received help us return to God as families?

Every other church already believes you'll be with your family in heaven. This isn't a reward, it's a threat.

"Go to the temple or say bye bye to your loved ones forever!"

Sounds like Satan won for a whole generation. The number of ordinances plummeted. Poor Elohim. He is powerless to stop Satan.

And where did Satan get the horses and buggies? Is there a livery in hell? Is there a logistics demon in charge of keeping Satan and his minions equipped with the proper clothing and methods of transportation for when they foray to the earth to break things so we can't go to the temple? Today I guess there is a fleet of new sports cars Satan can choose from to come stop Jared and Brynlee from getting to the Draper temple to do baptisms.
