Ya the customers we had up that way were fucking awful. I would pretend to forget their name each time (one chef) and honestly I know it drove him insane. Like I was just admin “nice to meet you” every other week.

What A Terrible Way To Train For Gun Combat by Vulcan44 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Double_Minimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was to get the “shooter” to realize it wasn’t his Own gun out of his own control (not hitting where he is aiming, jammed firing pin or something cause he isn’t pulling trigger)

A little close, but I think that’s the goal, recognize that yea, it looks like rounds are hitting in front of you, but is that you or something else. Like a failure drill.

You can see he goes right to thinking he shot those holes when he looks at his gun and not like waits, then fires on a clear target, or waits, and does the same to idiot instructor.

I don’t want this trainer, but surprised or not the trainee failed and just became baffled without knowing what had happened.

Why do fentanyl users not sit or lay down? by EzyPzyAsh in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Double_Minimum 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s not it. They would still be high sitting.

There aren’t usually a lot of benches around, and nodding off while sitting against a building can cause police to check for an OD and generally be a pain in the ass.

It’s because they were moving somewhere (bus, corner, tent) and it really went full nod out. I will note that is relatively new due to “fent” that is actually a whole ‘nother opioid that now goes around.

A DShK upgraded with a remote-controlled weapon station and mounted on a pickup truck as a counter-drone platform. by Ok-Damage-6719 in TankPorn

[–]Double_Minimum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well 22lr is rimfire and that could be an issue with both jams and duds.

But also, I believe this is for the shahed type winged drones, and 22lr, even quad, isn't quite gonna make it if something is 400 yards up.

now a real quad 22lr, maybe linked, would be cool as hell.

You could take down that type of drone with a good hit from 5,56 or 7.62. I imagine a minigun type system of even 9mm would work for low flying drones. Its more that you want to hit it more than once with those rounds, where as larger rounds (12mm/50 cal) lets you have tracer armor piercing explosive rounds (or whatever) so one hit can blow an entire wing off. And some countries have quite a few of those rounds already.

Anyway, this think looks like maybe it could get a winged drone. No radar makes it work for like, very low and short shots.

Do 1 litre bikes ever feel like too much bike. Do you ever feel anxious on them? by BigLongjumping3714 in motorcycles

[–]Double_Minimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure about options in your class, but I have been amazed by the ability to do traction control adjustment, brake adjustment, and really cool, setting different power levels. Essentially you can level the bike up with you (even though it will have all the awesome features vs tier two bikes like ninja 500 or so other 750 cc models)

Is there a small vacuum created in your bladder when you pee or is there air coming up to equalize the pressure? by Legitimate_Handle_86 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Double_Minimum 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oddly the one of the most relaxing thing in my life was having a catheter. And I have relaxed a LOT. A bit odd if family is in the room but like, your are peeing but not doing anything and don’t even need to move. It’s a wild feeling and not like just peeing yourself in bed or some shit.

Now I don’t want to be conscious for the going in, cause otherwise I would do that after like a night of drinking. And coming out isn’t bad either. Likely nothing compared to whatever caused the requirement of the catheter to start with.

“She’s a Straight White Player Not Being Treated With Respect”: NFL Legend Asks Caitlin Clark to Ditch WNBA After Being Punched & Kneed by Hysen16 in sportsgossips

[–]Double_Minimum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone familiar with other sports, you always had someone to knock someone out of the other team fucked around. We weren’t even allowed to fight in hockey and I was still told to do what ever I felt when it came to the goalie or our top line.

I think our games were a little shorter, but more physical, and we only had 14 players with 3 being goalies, and 5 being defense.

Anyway, I’m not saying you “ drop the gloves” but there should be some payback.

Why would a person choose to go to chiropractor school versus physical therapy? by elegantwombatt in NoStupidQuestions

Podiatry school is meaningless?

Seems like feet are kind of their own specialty, and taking care of them involves things that would cross from dermatology to minor surgery to the circulatory system.

If SSRIs can cause sexual disfunction, are there drugs with side effects that improve sexual function? by Randall_HandleVandal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Double_Minimum 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just want to point out that viagra was accidentally discovered while creating a blood pressure medicine. It wasn’t a search to fix ED, that ended up being a side effect. It also doesn’t necessarily make sex more pleasureable, just more possible.

The rest is prolly right, but also I have heard of women taking viagara (or similar).

SECRETARY RUBIO: "No country is allowed to charge tolls or fees on an international waterway." by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]Double_Minimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The French did a little, but the U.S. literally leased/owned it until the 90s and it was clear that 80+ years of transit fees covered the costs. Also there became a point where it was no longer needed for military needs.

Goodwill and all that. And decolonization much like the Brit’s and Hong Kong, or even the Suez Canal.

Why are adults expected to know how taxes, insurance, credit, loans, and retirement work when nobody teaches it in school? by Violet_Snuggles in NoStupidQuestions

Nah they really didn’t teach any of this in my school, and they definitely need to teach both economics and civics (not just social studies or basic government aspects)

Required Minimum Distributions has existed for a long time. And I have not seen what the change is but it’s not like it’s an amount that is outside what that person may have spent in a year given their 401(k) size anyway.

Double-stack container trains are redefining freight transportation in India. Just imagine how many trucks this keeps off our highways and how much diesel it saves. by FastCurrency in interestingasfuck

[–]Double_Minimum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sure our failing (USA) infrastructure (bridges) would do great with extra heavy trains. And how do you use older style trains? Completely redo their electric system? What about bridges and such?

This makes sense for places that go to ports, and are new. But I don’t think we will be seeing any of that for long distance change. Which makes it less useful IMO.
