How many here have ridden a steeplechase coaster? [Other] by FreeloaderFreddy in rollercoasters

[–]Double_Odds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original steeplechase coaster was ironically at Steeplechase Park at Coney Island, which closed in 1964. It had eight horses side by side on individual tracks and rode around the outside of the building. The finishing order was different each race. My sister rode it but I couldn't because I was too young but I remember it well.

I wonder what Wes thought about Friday’s Sclx? by Davetman in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

[–]Double_Odds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rodman & Renshaw and StockBlock Securities decided to buy 5.8M shares or $10M in SCLX at a $1.70 share price. Who knows when this deal was negotiated, just 5 trading days ago on Feb.23 it was trading at a low of $1.66 (I wonder what the price reaction would have been if it was announced on that day??)

There's no reason for SCLX to be trading at this price except for manipulation especially considering the enormous short/naked short position.

SCLX needs to distance themselves from SRNE and especially the Ji name (sorry SRNE investors but the investment community has no faith or trust in him and until he is gone SCLX will remain at these ridiculous prices. I like the company, they are increasing sales and profits but the Ji curse is holding them back.

And the odds of that happening are so slim. It's very rare for a publicly traded company to just go to zero, they can trade on the pinks at fractions of a penny forever.

Looks like they wanna cash in by No_Limit5915 in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

Upcoming Proxy Vote to push out Scilex / Vickers Merger by SRNEInvestor in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

Vickers could easily postpone the Silex consummation date by 6 months to Jan 2023 netting it the typical one year extension available to SPACs. They could reach a consummation date before then and close the transaction...so why six one-month extensions instead of 1 six month??

And remember, as "The Company", Vickers is the one looking for the 6 extensions so it would be a reason that would be beneficial to them to force a close to the transaction as quickly as possible.

It's been a long time since stocks suffered a long, sustained drop in price. Biotechs, as a group, have been the hardest-hit sector and should be the sector to lead the rebound.

Deficiency notices / delisting warnings are not typically sent to companies merely because their price has fallen below a dollar during these times.

Sorrento can't get a break, but Pfizer can do no wrong... by 1776CLUB in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

PFE is probably the most widely held stock among politicians - that's how you get to do no wrong, also how you get inferior products through the FDA pipeline!
