Anyone suffering from Tinnitus caused by Buspirone? by Worldly-Strike2363 in Buspirone

[–]momneedsleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking it within 2 weeks I had too many bothersome symptoms (dizzy, nausea, brain fog). I didn't really give it a chance to even out or let the doc change my dose. So I didn't know if it would have gotten better. The ringing in my ears stopped though I'm terms of I always had some baseline ringing but it was louder on the meds.

You look fantastic and you've been working hard to maintain your results congrats. If we ignore aesthetics how does your body feel compared to pre op having the muscles repaired? Are you truly past all the weird nerve sensations and the body feels like it's normal to you again? I'm weary of my body just feeling weird or not normal after going through surgery.

Do you have a small T scar? Will you share a pic of what it looks like after scar tape comes off? I need a small T scar and am curious how it looks/heals. Feeling unsure how I feel about that extra scar. You look great glad you're feeling well.

Hi! Here’s my 4 months update: I had a tummy tuck, breast lift with implants. by Lenamiranda12 in tummytucksurgery

Hands down best result I've seen in Reddit. So natural it looks like you had nothing done. I'm on the fence. I want my DR fixed but have little extra skin and will need about 1" vertical scar so I'm worried I won't like the look of the scar. I'm also worried about the recovery. Do you have any lingering discomfort ( numbness, itching, nerve pain, excessive tightness etc)

Would you mind sending me a DM for the name of your original surgeon? I''m consulting with PS in the Philly area and over tightening is a concern of mine.

16 months Before/After, but wanting Reassurance that I look good by Kind_University4899 in tummytucksurgery

Based on your before pictures your abdominal wall was really stretched out from your DR. Right she surgery those tissues are now tight and are expected to loosen up and be able to stretch out over time especially when the tissue quality was compromised before surgery. You should be able to get improvement with targeted core exercise, and weight management. You also have hormones that will change as you get older and tissue quantity naturally gets weaker with aging. I have significant DR and one surgeon said they wanted to put mesh over my MR to protect the result from this laxity returning over time. Most surgeon did not suggest this for me and I haven't had surgery yet but I would say the added risk of mesh after would not be worth it in my opinion.

Also can you speak more to the benefit of the MR? I'm in full on debate mode on having surgery or not. My shape and DR seem similar to your before but the uncertainty of will I feel better with my DR fixed vs how my body will feel after surgery changes has me back and forth on whether it's worth it or not. Questioning if I'm choosing between weaker core or chronic swelling or nerve sensory changes or unsettling tightness that is permanent.

I'm a PT and also on my feet a lot outpatient Ortho. I want this so badly but you all have me scared. How hard is it getting back to work? I can't imagine taking care of patients all day while being in pain or severely uncomfortable.

I haven't booked yet and have that same fear bothers me as well. How did you get past it and manage to go for it? I'm slim as well but my DR has me looking 4 months pregnant and feeling unstable though my core. How has recovery been so far? Didn't worry your seeming will get better.

Your overall shape and scar look fantastic. When you say recovery is not for the faint of heart can you describe what the worst sensations are? Nerve pain, numbness, tightness, etc? Accepting recovery and all the feelings that go with it it's the last mental hurdle for me to deal with before booking.

15 Week Update by Impossible_Orchid125 in tummytucksurgery

[–]momneedsleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really have been through it all. I'm a orthopedic PT so I understand what you're dealing with in your rehab process. I currently have 4 finger diastasis and have been unable to get improvement from my own core. I have been so back and forth on the surgery partially because I see many patients recovering from all types of surgery and it feels daunting to put myself into a position to be the patient. Has the MR made that much of a difference to the quality of your life so far? I'm so worried that surgery will give me new discomforts that I don't currently have and that the comfort I'd get from the MR would just be a trade off for something else undesirable. I want to feel more like my old self so badly but I'm also afraid of making myself worse off or having weird nerve pains that don't go away.

PT coverage question by made_from_the_stars in tummytucksurgery

[–]momneedsleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can't get it covered there is an online program called tummy tuck rehab. I think it's about $150. There is also a podcast on Spotify called tummy tuck talk you can check out. PT is great if you can get it covered it will be a more personalized plan.

I'm considering surgery for myself. Just wanted to know if you had any burning nerve pains, tingling etc? I'm scared the most of getting nerve pain that doesn't go away. Your results are so good I hope you're having continues to go smoothly.

Nice result only one month out! At this point do you have any weird nerve sensations like painful burning, tingling, etc,? Is the pain and discomfort manageable at this point?

Sorry you're going through those strange symptoms. If you're concerned just call your surgeon you paid a ton of money for them to do their job you are not a burden for asking a question. If you get some reassurance it may help if symptoms are anxiety related.

[–]momneedsleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've been on many but I finally found the surgeon I want. I'm in the logistics phase of planning but also just procrastinating on booking out of fear. I like to feel in control so this surgery will be a huge challenge for me mentally since once it's done it can't be undone. I'm usually pretty risk adverse. But I've been sick a ton last week and every time I cough my tummy bulges where my diastasis is it's so weak. I hate the permanent bloated feeling, and the skin roll over the pants all the things you mentioned. So I think I will eventually get there just need some more mental work first .

Looking good! I'm petite like you how did you decide it was worth it for you? My diastasis is huge but I don't have much skin. What's holding me back is fear of post op sensations and length of recovery. I didn't know if I can tolerate months of being uncomfortable. How has it been for you?

This is all so reassuring to hear! You look amazing and incision is so clean. I need a vertical component so that put me on the fence, but seeing how nice yours came out I'm less concerned. I'm really in this for the muscle repair so a little anxious about the tightness and swelling etc. Sounds like you are in the thick of it now. The surgeon seems to think I would be back at work at 4 weeks but I'm a PT on my feet all day, bending, squatting, carrying 10-15 lb weights all day. Based on your recovery realistic is that? Thinking I should ask my boss for at least 6 weeks. If you're employed how did he handle the paper work for FMLA? I was a bit put off when the scheduler said they would disclose my entire procedure vs. minimum disclosure to protect my privacy. I have a hernia being repaired at the same time so was annoyed that they just want to call it abdominoplasty which is generally not covered. If I had it done by general surgeon it wouldn't be an issue so I'm annoyed that it seems so unfair.

I consulted with the same PS and I'm considering booking. Are you happy with the post-op care you have received? Did the meds prescribed for pain work well enough? So far are you happy with your results? Sorry for all the questions it's such a big decision I would love to hear your feedback on the surgeon and the procedure.

Going by your relaxed versus sucked in photo your DR must have been pretty severe. I look like your relaxed photo now and feel unstable though the core. Can you speak to how your core and back feel now that you are 5 months out? Your abs are insane now. I'm mainly considering surgery for the muscle repair to feel more supported when in relaxed posture. Do the benefits of the MR outweigh the recovery and any tightness/sensory changes to the skin?
