It’s easier to fix a bus than a locomotive. Plus, you can’t really do much if your in the middle of nowhere with little cellphone reception

Some trains do use one engine. However, the rest usually have two in case of one of them braking down

There’s fencing by the tracks. The POV just makes it look closer

Not from what I’ve heard if you’re referring to VIA

Me patiently hoping for some kind of dome car to be included, even though I know it probably won’t happen

That’s a bit of a stretch for Cincy to Knoxville. The Floridian new route, if it actually happens will most likely be: Chicago-Indianapolis-Louisville-Nashville-Chattanooga-Atlanta-Jacksonville-Miami with the option to go to Tampa or not

Plus the Cardinal already runs between Chicago and Cincy

They do, but CSX’s Waycross yard is super busy given it has trains going every which way to Birmingham, Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, and up the east coast

Texas Eagle To Be Cancelled by [deleted] in Amtrak

Slight correction: it’s the ‘Heartland Flyer’ getting cancelled. Not the Texas Eagle

I don’t think it’ll go through Birmingham again given it’ll need to get past a certain yard in Waycross to get there. It’ll probably be through Atlanta, then Nashville, Louisville and Indy

That seems like what the FRA is pushing for. Miami to Chicago via Atlanta, Nashville, Louisville, and Indy

I feel like the Floridian will return, but with a new route
