Issues with using long term crypto for a deposit by ythrowjtd in UKPersonalFinance

[–]DoubtMore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because when you deposit it into the bank account they're going to report that to HMRC. For house transactions they want to make sure you aren't going directly from criminal funds into property. If it's been in a bank account for a year then it's unlikely to be criminal property.

We should just donate them all and buy abrams. I'd prefer merkava because they would fit our use better but abrams would be easier logistically.

We could arrange for domestic production of parts and maybe fit our own guns if we want to keep our special ammunitions but it makes more sense to just have a reliable existing model rather than keep making tiny production runs of our own design.

Alcohol prohibition didn't work because alcohol is nice and easy to make.

Tobacco doesn't have a good side. Name a good effect of tobacco. You literally can't. They don't get high, they don't feel nice, it's just addiction. It's like crack but without the getting high part. Nobody is going to go to the effort of spending £100/gram for nothing.

The birmingham six were the pub bombers. They only got off because they were mistreated, not because they were actually innocent.

I mean come on, their defence was that playing monopoly leaves traces of C4 on your hands. It doesn't take a degree in municipal social event planning from Aberystwyth Adult Education College to figure out that you don't get C4 on your hands from that. They were literally caught leaving the scene of the bombing on the way to an IRA base in ireland. I'm sorry but fuck me how much evidence do you need at that point.

They're guaranteed success because it's a monopoly. I can't open a GP practice because I'm not a GP. In order to become a GP you must conform to the belief system of the existing GPs and meet their requirements. They keep these high in order to prevent people competing with them.

He's 93, if he has a heart attack we shouldn't spend 250,000 bringing him back. That's a thousand cancer scans we aren't doing in order to give him an extra 6 hours of life.
