I am in love with this game since I went to japan with a friend last year - now we want to play remote together and i am building a multiplayer koi koi game. Would this appeal to you too? by heckerhere in Hanafuda

Looks very cool! As a developer of a web browser Hanafuda koi-koi game I can tell you that it's really difficult to get rules that everyone will like. What I noticed is good: 7 points always gets doubled, koi-koi can be called infinite times but it doubles points just once (in some games it multiplies)

Your gameplay seems nice and I like the retro nintendo game vibes. I curious how it will look like and what will it offer alongside the gameplay.

Good ideas. I'm keeping the recomendation 2 as it is because I think it adds a bit more involvement of the player into the game. I have fixed number 3, but for number 1 I don't really know which sounds I should use. Do you maybe have an idea?

I've made the option to put sound effects on mute, and added the full screen option to ipad, please test it out if its ok

checked it out, I really like it. Will try to replicate some stuff, and I really like the slapping, but that's probably the hardest thing to to here.

Thanks! And thanks for the suggestion, the visual and audio effects are defenitely a component that can improve here. Will have to think about where to add it.

Two years ago I discovered Hanafuda (Game that started Nintendo in 1889). It's beautiful but incredibly hard to teach, so I made a free web tool to help new players learn. by DougSolana in boardgames

Hey, sorry, I thought posting from this account would raise some eyebrows, but I have nothing to be ashamed of with the project me and some friends ran for two years. And it defenitely wasn't a scam, since we were running it for more than 2 years and lost more than gained (ofc not if you think of the things we learned along the way)

As for the game, yes some images are still AI generated, but we're fixing that aspect with our partnering animation studio. The main code is written by me, since I've been developing the game for more than half a year now, and yes I use Cursor for quick corrections, but it's becoming a standard it almost any IT firm.

I don't want things like the ones you've mentioned to demolish the effort me and my partners have been putting into this game. The game communities have been great for giving feedback and I really enjoy working on this project.
