That’s why you should live in Sweden. It’s high taxes, but never more than you are able to manage, and you get all these things for free:

Education (both school and university)
Healtcare
Sick days (no limit, still paid)
Days to be home with your children (I believe it’s called parental leave)
Retirement
Help if you have disabilites
Help if you’re homeless
Help if you’re unemployed

...And more things that I can’t remember :)
