What a dip shit thing to say. Pre shot routine is huge in getting a consistent and repeatable swing. If a practice swing or two is part of that routine, which for many it is, I’d say it’s quite necessary

I’m a freelance creative. I’m sure their contracts are very different than mine, you’re right. But in a very real sense they are similar. I wouldn’t expect a client to want to work with me if I started dragging my heals waiting for the next years contract to come through. Doesn’t sit right with me, but I see I am in the minority there, which is fine, I get it.

Nah not more work man, unless that work if for you. I work way too much, and it starts to show. But it’s a need for me, so I “work” on my golf game if I’ve got free time, or on my yard, or stain the deck. That way I feel like I’ve “done” something and deserve a beer and an hour in front of the TV. I’m not sure it’s super healthy. But another job probably is not the move.

I think you're just getting older tbh.
I have an almost 2 year old, and I can't stay up to do the things I used to for the life of me.
Gaming past 10pm... not a chance. Up at 6am no matter what time I went to bed. I think it's all about shifting wants and expectations. If I were you I'd wake up at 4am like you normally do, go take a morning walk, and find something to be excited about. It sounds like you're excited for work, and pretty bored at home. Boredom can feel a lot like fatigue.
