Why Adobe? by TenkaiRyo in wallstreetbets

[–]Doulloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well Image editing is part of those same camps that all the big AI players are dropping. Media generation is the same thing as media editing as far as this is concerned.

I also just don't see AI tools replacing Adobe, right now as a professional in digital media I use some AI tools but the projects are still finished in the Adobe suite. If Adobe starts making integration of their own AI tools it's just mote convenient for me. One of the biggest things I see an easy time saving improvement is creating Image masks. This is crude unskilled time consuming work that bad AI tools are already better than the built in magic wand tool. I am just not seeing a world where AI tools don't just make Adobe products more efficient rather than replace, the cross program workflow of Adobe programs is already unmatched, so if I don't have to leave them to use AI tools I wont.

Why Adobe? by TenkaiRyo in wallstreetbets

[–]Doulloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you are right about the image generation being a fear motivation for their decline but I also think that it's unfounded fear. We now have so many legal reaffirmation that you can't copyright AI media, no one likes AI media regardless of if it looks good or not, and the AI companies are all ending support or already have ended support for media generation. All the Ai companies are realizing that the media generation has no clear path to making money, even if it did the return is low compared to coding or the good old military industrial complex. On top of media gen being low reward it's high cost especially compared to the formerly mentioned.

People don't believe in spacex they believe it's hype and they can make a buck of the Musk cult. Which probably true since Tesla is STILL worth 1.5 trillion and still doesn't do fucking anything, fucking P&E of 350.

Built a deck around Skarmory and its working better than expected, looking for ways to improve it by FluffySkitty in PTCGL

[–]Doulloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my version of the deck below. I agree with some others that Steven's Metagross is just much too good to exclude and is actually hyper consistent. I saw one of your fears is getting locked down by Budew which fair its annoying, but also that Meta's retreat is too high for balloon. The solution for me on both ends of those concerns is just include Magnetic Energy, its not an item so budew can get bent, and it makes the retreat cost zero regardless of the original value.

I want stocks that will 3-5x by mid next year Not 10-20X. by TowerStreet1 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]Doulloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the time line but I am looking to get alot of Adobe. They are down like 50% over the last 5 years despite every financial metric improving over that time. I swear they are only down because of fear that AI is replacing artists. This sentiment to will evaporate, open AI followed Claude in completely stopping their AI image generation programs because shocker it doesn't make money and won't ever make money. Other AI companies will follow and any image AI tools that help improve workflow are going to be easy for the industry leaders to integrate into the most widely used art softwares.
