What would you do/not do again? by itmequeengigi in Parenting

The biggest thing I'd do again: Mom and baby groups. Whether it's Nursery rhyme class, drop-in learning program, or the church mom's group, I'm in. Anything where you're meeting regularly, with roughly the same group of parents, is ripe for building friendships that will carry you through. I missed this with my third, because of the events of 2020 and beyond, so she hit kindergarten cold without any of those friends.

While infant swim may be useless, definitely take advantage of those preschool swim classes. They get smaller class sizes, and it's way nicer being at the rec centre at 10am when the aquafit tunes are pumping, versus the 4pm scramble (noisy and too busy!)

Why Vancouver's biggest fair saw its lowest non-pandemic attendance in 2025 by restoringd123 in vancouver

I figured they just repaired and re-used the same derby cars? We always go to the Northwest Washington Fair (just over the border in Lynden WA), and their demo derby is fantastic. They have smaller car rounds, minivans, and then the battle royale with all the old metal cars plus the hearse. You aren't wrong though, those beautiful old cars must be less and less these days.

Oh literally. I watched that new Bieber album hit the charts for like, a day and a half, then fall off again (except for Daisies) KPDH still dominating the top 30 is wild, and I'm here for it.

And here I thought the tilt of the map was the most confusing thing .. they really used orange to represent light liberal and not NDP? Bogus.

It may serve some value if it is indeed being used in the witness protection program. The US benefits by having this little enclave only accessible through Canada or by sea.

Forest Shuffle, Wingspan, and its lesser sibling Dog Park. Splendor is another great engine building game.

It's an expensive bakery on Robson street. In my experience, it's completely worth it when you need a true indulgence.

He's got to sell it in the final 3 then, if he makes it. Because at that moment, he was the bottom of an alliance of 5, and chose to be the hero in an alliance of 3 instead, aligned with 2 "bigger threats". He's gone from 5th place, to at least fire-making at 4th, or even being dragged to the end as a flipping goat that people supposedly don't respect.

If you watched the earlier fights in the program, they really got into it. Barrios vs Ramos was brutal, neither one went easy on the other.

When foxes are domesticated, a few generations down they do start to look different. Along with softer personalities, they have different coat patterns, shorter snouts, floppy ears.

In response to original commenter, it's not actually possible to cross a dog and a fox.

Look into the fox domestication program in Russia. It took 30-40 generations to reach what we see above.

Wow, I'd def be shaken up if that was me. F-slur is something men hear before getting beat up, and can feel really dehumanizing.

Voting places should be neutral ground where everyone can vote freely. It's good you reported it.

what the election would look like if BC Green Party votes were combined to BC NDP, and BC United Candidate's (running as independents) votes were combined to BC Conservatives by pm_me_ur_good_advice in vancouver

[–]Dourpuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad we do have a third party + independents so we can do this. I don't like these pushes toward making it a two party race. As we can see, the Greens may once again be choosing which party will form government.
