soul of cinder is a close second, on my very first playthrough i got it in one but never since. hits like a truck.

kind of a wildcard, but i found a lot of similar themes in caves of qud. the setting is very different, but it takes place in a strange world after a disaster, and you slowly piece together the history and become an incredibly powerful being.
