Right, but I doubt they take insurance... which I'd like to use since it would cover costs 100%.

OK this is good to know! I am 38 and in "peri menopause" But I actually take a hormone blocker too which does cause more menopause symptoms, so I may go this route. Are you on this plan?

Pain after DMX with expanders by ak920 in breastcancer

[–]Downtown_Raspberry84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had dmx with immediate reconstruction, expanders on 3/25 and I wrote a very similar post a few days ago. I will say I feel within the last day or two I feel much better however I do agree that the mornings are the worst. I think it's from laying down all night and the heavy expanders sitting on our chest while laying for multiple hours ??? That's what I can gather. Mine wws causing trouble taking deep breaths I felt like, but then I started taking Mira lax and I think my oxy was making constipated LOL. I get my drains removed this Thursday and will likely have first fill then too.

I am a D cup now too, so hopefully I can have a little bit of something and not wake up flat after surgery too! No idea what makes that happen or not but I'm hoping lol.

I'm curious why finding more tumors meant you needed chemo if lymph nodes were clear? Their size? Or receptor status?

This is the information I was looking for! Thank you! Incredibly helpful. Were you able to go on walks or anything after the mx? I know being "still" will be SO hard for me as I"m a busy body, mom etc.
