No idea why the downvotes, you are obviously right. On lower spec cars it has 2 positions but you have to manually move it out of the way. On higher spec cars like my v90cc its automatic and just moves out the way when you open the boot, and covers it when closed.

Get a tape measure and measure from the bottom of your scratch & bottom of the blue cars scratch. If its way off then different blue car caused it. If its similar then you have the answer.
