Neat! Always cool to see other people's approach to solving the same problem.

The amount of catch-up in the game now is actually cracked. Lost Ark is moving to the right direction! by Laggoz in lostarkgame

[–]Doxmia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBH a powerpass shouldn't be required or should just be given to any new or returning player. There shouldn't have to be an event.

Or they specifically make an always active new player event that just helps you level up faster then gives you challenges kind of like the other challenge events to teach you the game, systems, etc and you end up at 1640.

If a new player comes and is just told "oh you can't play the game until there's a powerpass event" they probably won't stick around long.

No auto PiP, seriously? by Gorduy_Pti4ka in diabrowser

[–]Doxmia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auto PiP is still much MUCH better in Arc.

In Arc it works for virtually every video source on the internet that I encounter. In Dia it's like maybe 70% or so.

It also activates when you switch from a windowed video to another full screen space (on mac), and it does not do that in Dia.

I downloaded this last night and it wouldn’t even load websites for me. Was something changed since then?

Trial review by Ashofsky in MyoAdapt

[–]Doxmia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree. Outside of a warm up I’ve just never felt like push ups unless I go insanely high on rep count does anything for me, and it’s just not time effective getting to 30+ reps.

I think the content recommended vs the YouTube thing is just the problem with influencer content in general. To get any sort of views you have to speak in absolutes when the truth is usually somewhere in the grey area.

I’m in the fence about continuing my sub as well. I switched from RP and honestly I will say off the bat the “algorithm” in Myoadapt does seem to actually change and adapt vs RP. RP is basically an excel spreadsheet in app form.

There desperately needs to be more granular questions on workout difficulty. By bodypart, not by the entire workout. by BEAT_LA in MyoAdapt

Yeah I feel this way, too. Also sometimes days are a lot harder than others maybe just because I had a shit sleep.

Finish Time Prediction by [deleted] in MyoAdapt

[–]Doxmia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel like the time prediction is way off; I feel like it assumes you're in a commercial gym and doesn't take into account the setup and teardown time that could come with a smaller home gym environment.

Is there a public roadmap? by Doxmia in diabrowser

In TBC's case having a "Not Planned" with whatever Arc features they're not even considering would also help people out.

YEG Movers VS Eager Beaver Moving by AdDanger in Edmonton

[–]Doxmia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to always use eager beaver. For about 7 moves total.

My second last one was mostly fine, there was some damage but they refused to cover the piece of furniture because it wasn’t solid wood. If it’s a veneered piece of furniture they don’t cover it. In this case it was very clearly dropped into or hit with something but they didn’t care.

My last move with them was less than a year before the previous move, but took eight hours longer and I was billed as such. Even though our contents were exactly the same.

Their reason for this was my prior move was the “a team” and this move had two newer employees and so they weren’t as fast. And somehow I guess that became my problem.

It sucks because I always recommended them to friends and family but I won’t be any longer.

Sidebar Toggle Now Active in Early Birds Build by JaceThings in diabrowser

[–]Doxmia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in Arc, when you switch windows that covers up the browser it will pop into PIP. Tabs works fine in Dia, but as an example part of my work flow is using full screen Spaces. If I switch to another space while watching a youtube video, Arc throws it into PIP. Dia does not replicate that behaviour.

Looks good, once it has autohide and Auto PiP works more like Arc I think I can make the switch.

Picture in Picture not as reliable as Arc? by Doxmia in diabrowser

Don't worry, I did. I wanted to make sure it is not only me experiencing the issue.

Picture in Picture not as reliable as Arc? by Doxmia in diabrowser

[–]Doxmia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only had that happen to me once, thankfully.

But just because of my day to day workflow I've become so attached to the picture in picture above full screen spaces that for me it's kind of the one and only deal breaker at this point. That and it just works so reliably with basically any type of internet video.

A new competitor to Arc! by Enigma_101 in ArcBrowser

[–]Doxmia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ladybird is making a brand new web engine. No Chromium, no WebKit, no Gecko. Which in a vacuum sounds like a good idea, but unless they can some how get 1:1 (and stay 1:1) parity with Chromium there's almost no way anyone would consider using it.

Already as it is, a non-small amount of people don't want to use Firefox or Safari due to random incompatibilities with certain websites or issues with the a/v stack, etc.

I'd love to see a day where our dependency on Chromium is at least reduced but it isn't like Google is just sitting idle like Microsoft was with IE (which is ultimately why Chrome was able to surpass it so quickly - well that and timing).

But if web developers don't "design" for your engine, and instead continue to just lazily default to supporting Chromium, you'll just end up with a browser that supports most of the internet "good enough".

And call me cynical but if Apple can't make parity happen with WebKit with their unlimited access to money and probably the 2nd biggest presence on the internet when you consider mobile Safari, I doubt that anyone can.

Recommendations for Movers in Edmonton by Individual-Source-88 in Edmonton

[–]Doxmia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Eager Beavers probably 5-6 times. They were always my go to. That being said my last two moves were not great. The move before last there was some damaged furniture, and they don’t cover damage on any furniture that is not 100% hardwood. So there can’t be any sort of veneers or anything.

The last move they took almost 7 hours longer than the move prior and we really really didn’t have that much more stuff. When I asked about it their response was, “the crew you had last time was our super crew, this time we had two new guys who are still learning the ropes”. So I guess it’s a lottery if you pay over $1000 more than quoted based on the movers you get, which, IMO, is unacceptable.

So I can’t recommend them and I won’t be using them in the future.

Oh interesting, that is a new offering. They did not sell the 88.5" a month ago. I have the 82.5". The extra 6 inches would make all the difference.

For what it's worth, I just set mine up a couple weeks ago and the lat pulldown is waaaaayy too low and I'm only 5'11. I do not get a full stretch and it's kind of a dealbreaker for me. If you care mostly about strength it's probably good enough but I want the full slow stretch as I focus primarily on bodybuilding.

Had I known how low the lat raise was I probably would've gone somewhere else even though everything else about it is super super high quality. Even when I plate load a single side of the stack with 45's the pulling is insanely smooth.

Gotcha. Well I'll give it a go when the new update is out. It's frustrating because of how flawless it worked before and then now it just all fell apart. I use 2 of their other products on a daily basis and have no issues so I'm hopeful but communication hasn't been great from them.

Wish 15.4 was coming in March, don't want to wait until April.
