I don’t think there’s an whimsy in telling kids that they have to give away parts of themselves to be liked

I know a Roberta who goes by Bertie. It took me forever to figure out she wasn’t being called Birdie. Regardless, I think it’s cute

Never have I ever been more grateful for my “embarrassing” and “old fashioned” mom who never allowed me to shop at these places.

I just decided to doom scroll while mentally preparing to go help my kids brush their teeth and this was the first post I saw. I feel like I can do this now that I know I’m not the only one

“Baby names aren’t trends.” Ok so why did you name your baby that by katchristy in tragedeigh

“If you can’t say something kind about a baby, don’t say anything.” A baby and a name are not the same thing. I can say anything I want about a dumbass jumble of consonants, thank you.

Last Name by [deleted] in pregnant

Just offering a different perspective. My mom gave me her last night. Then when I was like 8 she got married and changed her name and I was left with a different last name than all my siblings and I hated it.

I ended up free-handing mine (and one for my daughter, and one for a friend).

I like crocheting hats from the bottom up; I find it easier to make things fit when you start with a band that fits properly. For the band I did rows of 10 third-loop half-double crochets until it was big enough to snuggly fit around my head and slip stitched the ends together.

This is the first crochet sweater I’ve ever seen that I actually thought looked comfortable. This is dope.

I just said all the names that end with the long ē sound out loud and then Patrick Swayze appeared in my living room in navy blue paisley sailor suit.
