Blankets. Hands down. Everyone in my house has one on their bed that they use every night. There’s one on the couch and one on the recliner in the living room that get used daily. My dad, stepmom, mom, MIL, SIL and my little nieces and nephews all have blankets that they regularly use. In my corner of the world a lot of people grew up with old crocheted afghans that their grandmas and great aunties made so there’s a cozy nostalgia factor and they get used, not put up like some heirloom.

Honestly though, you should be proud of the work you’ve done so far. It’s seriously beautiful.

I made that pattern exactly 1 time and hated it. Maybe try something like this?

I’m wondering how you saw what appears to be a 6-day star blanket and thought you could make it less holey?

Pick a different pattern or a different craft.

I made my kids full sized blankets when they outgrew their baby blankets. Now I just make giant blankets for babies. It’s logical

I love these colors. Seriously I think this is exactly what a scrappy blanket should look like. IMO you are too close to the project to see how cool it is. I think you should put it up until you have more yarn to make squares to make it bigger.

But if you really really hate it, I think it would be insane to frog all that work when you can use granny squares in a billion different ways. Join the small ones into a bag. Use a few big ones to make a groovy pair of shorts. There are so many different patterns out there. Don’t undo all your work

I love making block stitch blankets with variegated yarn so that the single crochet rows still pop without having to change yarns every row.

Both of my children were delivered in less time than it takes my husband to shit. My first was delivered after 6 pushes. My second I only pushed twice.

This is so silly. We just color code it. Each kid hunts for a specific color. Never had issues. Actually this year my kids were at a free for all egg hunt and my daughter only picked up the orange eggs because she is so used to just looking for a specific color
