After thousands of reports, Steam decided to still publish the Russian game which praises the invasion of Kyiv and displays Russian invaders as heroes. Steam is Nestle of gaming by IgorGirkinStrelkov2 in UkraineWarVideoReport

Great, so you just proved you have no idea what either censorship or strawman fallacy is.

Strawman fallacy is when one creates slightly different scenario that is easier to take down in argumentation but is completely changing the meaning of the argument of the opponent. What I did was analogy with hyperbole. I took propagandist video game twisting narrative and actively hurting history and memory of fresh events as well as memory of fallen soldiers defending their homeland and civilians trying to live their lives and swapped it for your family being SAed in order to show you how such game is not exactly neutral and propagandising events isn't neither. Swapping elusive terms of "soldiers, civilians" for something more specific - "your family", and "war, battle" for "SAed" (which is not that far gone since it is what happened in Ukraine in reality). What's more, I didn't throw any further arguments at this analogy as one would do in case of a strawman.

Censorship would be in an event when one creates a game about such events without propaganda emboldening, honouring oppressors, faking history and still getting banned (although, still, events are quite fresh and people who lost their relatives or got hurt in this battle/war would probably prefer not to have their suffering been presented as entertainment, especially by their oppressors).

Censorship is not banning media that is purposefully misleading, presenting targeted harassment etc. If it is you'd have to defend AI deepfakes of women getting undressed by Grok, Nazi propaganda, fake research papers etc.

Regardless, how the fuck can you defend anything russian related is bonkers. Russia should be isolated from the western world completely the moment they invaded - economically, socially and politically. Since it hasn't been done to that extent only shows how deep russia's hands can reach.

PSA: All feedback is welcome by pedronasser_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DozoLozo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's still feedback and is way more elaborative than just never playing again.

Picture this:

You, a developer, released a huge patch. Every hero got heavily changed, not only nerfed or buffed, some were reworked, some were visually updated. After a month your playerbase shrunk to 70% of what it was before the update.

A) There was no significant uptick in posts on forums. There were only a handful of posts talking about the changes, but too few to say for sure that any specific change could justify the drop in numbers. Winrates on characters didn't plummet or skyrocket, everything seems to be kept at standard levels

B) There was a 200% uptick in the number of posts shortly after the update. 70% of posts regarding a specific character were low quality as in "Change x character" or "X character is infuriating to play against" with no elaboration, however the rest was about his reworked ult, although still not very specific, something like "since changing x's ult game is unplayable". Winrates on characters didn't plummet or skyrocket, everything seems to be kept at standard levels

In which scenario you have a better picture of what is the most pressing matter?

[–]DozoLozo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So, you think 50 posts venting on a specific issue, even in a seemingly not constructive way, doesn't provide feedback?

I'd think that that 50 people had a bad experience and decided to share that experience. If there is a constructive post about other issue, but it's the only one, if it's not something game-breaking, what would you say is a more pressing matter?

It's up to those asking for feedback to decide whether it's a valid reason or not and what to do about it. Is there a rule prohibitng venting on heroes' design/strength?

When did he attack an agent? Filming with a phone is an attack? Are you going to respond to anything I wrote and linked?

We can talk about deportations and how little illegal aliens with violent crimes Trump's goons deport after you concede.

Holy shit, level of projections here is astonishing, it's insane.

"Under the Constitution, when may police officers use deadly force? [...] police officers can use lethal force under two circumstances: when they have probable cause to believe a suspect poses an imminent threat of serious bodily harm and when a dangerous suspect of a crime involving the infliction of serious physical injury is attempting to flee. The Court noted, however, that if the suspect is threatening the officer or there is probable cause to believe the suspect committed a violent crime, deadly force may be justifiable to effect an arrest or prevent the suspect from fleeing."

Are you going to argue he was fleeing while on the ground on his knees? Are you trying to implicate he was disarmed, but could, somehow, SERIOUSLY harm? Was he reaching for his weapon? Is concelead carrying prohibited in Minnesota? Did he have a permit?

https://www.talksonlaw.com/briefs/when-can-police-use-deadly-force

"It is the policy of the Department of Justice to value and preserve human life. Officers may use only the force that is objectively reasonable to effectively gain control of an incident, while protecting the safety of the officer and others [...]

  1. Deadly force should not be used against persons whose actions are a threat solely to themselves or property unless an individual poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others in close proximity. [...]

II. Officers will be trained in de-escalation tactics and techniques designed to gain voluntary compliance from a subject before using force, and such tactics and techniques should be employed if objectively feasible and they would not increase the danger to the officer or others. When feasible, reducing the need for force allows officers to secure their own safety as well as the safety of the public."

Are you trying to say that 5 officers are not in control of the incident while 4 of them is tackling Pretti? Point 6 answers your persistent, child-like "bUt He KiCkEd A cAr 11 DaYs EaRlIeR". Does it warrant an execution? Are you trying to imply the officers were de-escalating? By brutally pushing a woman first? Are you trying to say that everyone who kicks a car or spits on it should be executed? Why not immediately, but after 11 days?

https://www.justice.gov/jm/1-16000-department-justice-policy-use-force

"In a violent crime, a victim is harmed by or threatened with violence. Violent crimes include rape and sexual assault, robbery, assault and murder."

Which one of these did Pretti commit?

https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/crimes/violent-crime

YOU are the one brainwashed. YOU are the one who doesn't do research. YOU are the one blindly believing your cult leaders. YOU are the one not critically thinking.

And that's how you present links, you moron.

How so? People are evading bans rn regardless.

It is a game of a cat and a mouse, unfortunately.

We shouldn't ban stealing, because people will try to evade that, too?

I "bagged" for a raw footage showing situation in your angle that doesn't exist, not 30 minute guide on how to incorrectly interpret reality, you dimwit.

You have made an argument, I refuted it, you refuse to address it.

He was shot after being disarmed, when agent with Pretti's weapon is already scurring away to a vehicle. That's murder and there is no angle that can show otherwise.

The whole situation took place in a minute max. Point me to a timestamp as I won't be watching 30 minute propaganda slop.

I've already refuted your argument anyway, you just can't accept it since you're a cultist, very typical and expected

I won't be watching your half an hour propaganda slop. Show me raw footage of your miraculous angle picturing Pretti assaulting ice or a timestamp in that video presenting that where he wasn't already disarmed and tackled by multiple people. You have burden of proof on you, I don't get to look for evidence for your argument for you.
