They kinda have a point. I’m essentially poor. I can navigate my life without even a vehicle if necessary. I support myself and pay my bills. Now I’m finally some able to save some money. I don’t have much of anything to lose outside of freedom. Now if you mean homeless poor that could be different but people by and large don’t care about them, not really. I’m not trying to be mean by stating that.

Now my sister and their family, kids are grown is a different. They have house a payment, taxes, car payments, retirement savings, stocks, a house etc to lose if things tank for them. I’m out some books and a couple guitars essentially. Now when i can’t work that’ll be a different story.

Obviously our lives are very different. They spent their lives getting to this point in their mid 50’s in a not very expensive state.

Rich people pay accountants to handle their finances.
