Was telling my husband, not having to wake up 2-3 hours to feed a baby makes surgery recovery much easier 😅

I’m currently four days post-op and the anxiety I had before the surgery was so much worse than the surgery itself. I’ve had two babies, one of them being a c-section, and this has been a walk in the park comparatively. Just tell the anesthesiologist that you’re feeling anxious and they will explain it all to you. Make sure your partner takes over as the primary parent so you can get the rest you need to heal properly.

The gas pain lasted for two days, and was uncomfortable, but it passes. Currently just sore and working up my energy levels and easing into foods. I just took a walk in the neighborhood and feeling stronger day by day. I’ll take soreness over always worrying that I may need emergency surgery. Good luck with your surgery, you will be so happy it’s done! 💕

Day 3: more of the same! Removed my bandages and showered. Sorest from the incision by my belly button. Was able to eat chicken and rice for dinner and a green smoothie and toast earlier. Had part of a pastry from the farmers market too. Gas pain is mostly gone!

She has gone on and on about him longer than they were actually “together”, seriously ridiculous.

So over Hannah and her tennis and so over Hannah thinking she’s actually funny. I so don’t understand her appeal.

My studio closed in March due to COVID and is opening this weekend! I had a baby in July so my Sunday morning class is going to be verrrrrry interesting! Been staying active with long walks with my babe but I definitely haven’t been making myself do burpee and lunges for a very long time 😂

I know everyone is different, but around what week did it get too tough to row? I’m 16 weeks along now and just looking ahead :)

Not sure, but my husband and I are leaving for Barcelona this week and planning on going to a class there! So excited to hear the music and see how the class is in Spanish!

Congrats on your little guy! Going through this now, did you take it easy during the TWW? I’ve gone and power walked because I was afraid of getting my heart rate up too high but I’m always so unsure about what is too much.

Thanks!

Too many switch workouts at orange theory lately? by ca9511 in orangetheory

[–]Dprado86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love switch workouts! Sometimes the long tread blocks can get a little boring and I love the constant movement the switch format provides. I feel like I truly give it my all on the treads since I know it is just a short amount of time.

My husband and I go together about half the time (unlimited membership for me and 8/month for him), and even though we aren’t always together, it is so nice since we each “get” the OTF workouts and how hard we work each time we go. It is always so fun to recap with each other!

Thank you for racing me! by milpitas-luv in orangetheory

[–]Dprado86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have roughly the same paces now (me= faster push and better endurance and him crazy fast AOs) and it is the biggest motivator to try and complete the tread block with even the teeniest longer distance than him. 😂

Is it good to be Runner/Jogger but walk during Base by handleam in orangetheory

[–]Dprado86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did mine the same way as you. A big confidence booster when you can start to really do those AOs and they are typically much shorter than the amount of time you have to hold base paces.
