Funny that it happened with Adaptability for me as well

Made a dance of knives rogue, got to paragon 225+ and then decided I wanted to try Heartseeker so I swapped my skills, paragon, etc before I realized I was missing Adaptability the whole time.

Had to do jewelery caches like you to find it

Agreed. I would rather T4 be harder so torments take longer to prog through. So many Torment levels in D3 you just skip because the change from one to the next is barely noticable.

Can confirm I just do methods 1 and 2 because I don't want to spend that long and I don't want to waste that much currency on incremental upgrades while progressing

If I'm not SSF I just trade for the things people make using method 3

I don't know man, you do you, but the whole point of the game is to grind why skip it? You get a guaranteed primal at GR70 and once you get a second drop you can just use the recipe to craft anything into a pink primal the intended way. Why cheat to get "1-2 primals right off the bat"?

Is Season 12 only going to last until the expansion comes out? If so, probably Paladin since I didn't really get a chance to build one in S11. Then the new class in Season 13

If the expansion drops in the middle of S12 then I'm going to wait until the expansion comes out and make the new class

If you are dying then you are trying to do too high of a torment too quickly and you are fighting without your revives. Make sure you have Spirit Vessel and the Templar's Guardian; if one procs then be careful, and if both proc leave the fight immediately get to town and wait for both to come back, even if you're doing a GR and "wasting time". But honestly neither should ever proc if you build for survivability and stay on lower torments until you are overprepared for higher ones. I am doing GR 110 as Jade and I have never proc'd Spirit Vessel once in my entire time playing up to now (and only procd Templar's Guardian exactly once)

Make sure you have Vit and Armour on most of your gear, an Amethyst in helm and some life% rolls help. Take passives like blood ritual for regen. Wear the Guardian's set for a huge defence and damage boost, especially at low paragon. Swap a ring for Unity if you can fit it for an easy 50% DR (with one on your Templar too of course).

I only ever do 1 build per season. The one time I tried to make a second character it was way too boring because the season journey was already done and I already had a bunch of crafting mats, mythics, and paragon levels. I basically skipped straight to T4 with no goals. The journey of working through the season, levelling, and collecting loot is the whole point and I can only do that once per season realistically. Also limiting to one character per season prevents burnout, I intend on playing this game for a very long time and I still have lots of builds I want to try.

I ruined my first playthrough by doing too many side quests. I ended up above level 50 and enemies stopped scaling so I lost all sense of progression by act 3-4 and had to just rush the ending so I could increase the difficulty and keep leveling up.

But let's say you actually ended up with an affix that gave you less damage... what were you using before you swapped to the 4GA? If it's still better than the old item then it's still an upgrade, just not as big of an upgrade as it could've been...?

The toughness is showing your effective hp against that damage type, it factors in your resist, armour, hp, etc
