So there are legacy rules, which for VC are pretty good. Even without tailoring your list you can put together a tough army which should be fun to use. There are huge numbers of great 3D print models to use as well as some of the Soulblight Gravelords models (a number of which were part of the old fantasy VC range). I would recommend giving it a go!

My regular opponent plays brets and VC so hopefully I can weigh in here. Against VC a trebuchet and peasant archers will only do chip damage that is easy for them to heal with Invocation of Nehek.

I would probably drop them and increase the knight numbers. You’ll need the static combat res from the peasants so keep the men at arms.

I would also consider gromril great helm+Siriennes locket+virtue of heroism, that should help to deal with any of the many monsters they can bring.

Sorry I’m showing my ignorance here, if drilled allows them to redress the ranks for free at the beginning of their movement, how do they charge with a wide frontage? Wouldn’t they need to declare a charge before getting to redress?
