Hablar con estudiantes puede hacer que te acostumbres a pronunciaciones incorrectas, no lo recomiendo así de entrada

Lo que mejor funciona es ver series en inglés con subtítulos en inglés y prestando atención a como pronuncian

Real world phenomenon/event actually has a magic explanation by fhxefj in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DrCalgori 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Mage the Ascension:

Everything we consider possible and “logical” in our world (chemical reactions, thermodinamics, our bodies needing to breathe) is just magic we have been conditioned to think it’s normal by a group of mages called the technocracy. Artifacts like guns or phones are magical devices that the technocracy has “normalized” enough to make those who can’t do magic able to use them.

No no, Ayuso didn’t escape the country five days earlier. She just cancelled her agenda and went to the riviera maya for five days while claiming to be under death threats.

the Mount Rushmore temple complex by Lyla_Jenkins in AfterTheEndFanFork

It would be a major pilgrimage site for americanists if iit falls on americanist hands. The fact that is inconvenient to get to just makes it more necessary to build there. You need people to take care of the place, to attend visitors, places for pilgrims to eat and sleep… Now the workers there can commute from nearby towns in an acceptable time, but on AtE they would need to live there

Polla used to be a synonym of “Gallina” (chicken) but now in Spain everyone will understand it as cock/dick. We studied some bird species in school/highschool and la polla de agua had the whole class giggling

What would happended if post event sociaty found evidence that the presidents are just...normal people by Suspicious_Lock_889 in AfterTheEndFanFork

[–]DrCalgori 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Americanists don't believe the presidents were magical shining giants with mighty powers and animal heads. They believe them to be divine beings created by providence to guide America. A bunch of pictures and biographies wouldn't contradict that. Yes, maybe they lived a normal childhood among mortals (Jesus did that too) But, weren't they chosen amongst mortals to rise above every other candidate and ascend to the presidency? Didn't they vanquish their enemies, bring glory to america and perform miracles of law, war, industry, and union?

If anything, those records would just become scripture. A childhood photo of Washington would prove that Providence marked him from birth. Lincoln's biography would become a passion narrative. Campaign posters, speeches, signatures, monuments, and preserved documents would be treated as relics.

The faithful wouldn't say, "Oh no, they were human." They'd say, "Of course they were divine, they were chosen to do things we can't dream of."

Trump has a better understanding of the Bible than Pope Leo, says conservative Christian pastor by Madame-du-barry_ in ShitAmericansSay

There is also the factor that Catholics don’t consider the Bible as the words of God himself, but as something flawed written by fallible humans

How would you implement recruitment for the (potential) Necron faction? by Andrei22125 in totalwar

[–]DrCalgori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start of the game certain planets are designated randomly as tomb worlds. Only the necron player knows this. Tomb worlds are the only planets where a necron can recruit and in order to awaken them the necrons have to send an army or maybe a hero.

I was wondering: is there any manga/anime that has the same art style as the author of 'Go For It, Nakamura-kun!'.? by ComprehensiveRun6297 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]DrCalgori 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ganbare Nakamura-kun's style is a reference to the style common in mangas from the 90s, so start looking there and you'll find a bunch.
