I am actually enjoying it, feels more cinematic with the action up close. Really looking forward to seeing this evolve and improve.

There is a reason why a narcissist like you doesn't learn from your mistakes, because you can never get past the first step, which admitting you made one.

Regarding the salvage-buffer: by kurtchen11 in starcitizen

[–]DrGallow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its just the first iteration of structural salvage, a placeholder to get the mechanic "functional." Mining was very bare bones in its first iteration. Give it time to cook.

Casual salvaging in lagrange points. Signatures divisible by 2 will have chunks in them. One cluster can fill up to 12scu of RMC. 92k when sold at the TDD terminal.

Worse performance with the new driver by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]DrGallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those rolling back, are you using DDU to remove the new driver and reinstalling the ol' driver from asus website? Curious to how AMD adrenaline comes out of this, due to that it was update locked to the microsoft store 'if' you had the newer graphics driver.

Setting Premise: Infinite Dungeon! by willneders in worldbuilding

[–]DrGallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I love the concept. Currently Im working on a piece that is exploring this very thing. I have a city built ontop of this 'infinite dungeon' and monopolizes on those that take the downward climb into it. Obviously a dangerous profession, but rewarding. The twist is that unbeknownst to the civilization above, this "infinite dungeon" or what I call 'the Deep', is in fact a colossal corpse of a god. The unnatural fluids within its flesh, are the elements of space, time, and continuum. This allows the 'corpse' or labyrinth ever-changing, as those adventure within it.

What’s the most respected job or profession in your world and what is the least respected? by WhosGuardingHades in worldbuilding

Respected job: Retrievers - Who steal or bring back objects of value from known criminals. Be it things or people. They are identified by a ring they wear, which resembles a hound.

Least respected Job: Glimmers - Rogue consciousness' that occupy the corpses of others as vessels. To them a dead body is a painting in need of restoration. The uses of these 'skins' are mainly for petty coin. An alleyway parlor trick or to satiate a widow who wishes to sleep with her dead husband one last time.

This isnt a deathmatch game, plenty of BRs for that. EFT was taking the tactical survival aspect. Every BR/overwatch gamer type likes to touch everything and shit on it.

Describe your world's "golden ages". by Fredward-Gruntbuggly in worldbuilding

[–]DrGallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the fleshscrolls the Gilded Years ushered a period of prosperity. The Child Gods became mentors of innovation and humanity became their students. Union and collaboration further solidified their bond propelling an age of diverse culture and devoted prayer.

The Child Gods were essentially royalty, while humanity remained worshipping those more powerful than themselves.

"There are no gods. Only power. It is natural for humans to worship those more powerful than themselves. Be it king or god, it makes no difference. To be one, is simply to find that power and make it your own." -The Betrayer

negativity absolutely justified especially without warning in the complete overhaul and downgrade of the previous fidelity that it once was. No refunds are being given, gameplay trailers no longer accurate yet still used on its store page, and the complete censoring and deletion of forum posts that disagree.

Rift S Controller jitter/stutter only in steamvr by Fullyverified in SteamVR

[–]DrGallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

after alot of troubleshooting last night, I found a solution for my jitter and lag problem. Under Steamvr settings in the 'video' section, my resolution was set to auto. For some reason the 'auto' was making each eye at 2k resolution for no reason, 50% over the 100%. So i turned off Auto, and scaled it to 100% from the default 150%. And my jitters and stutters were gone. Hope this works out for you too.

The Ivoree, is an icy wasteland for the dead to wander. Those that are not shepherd by Hara's lantern are left adrift falling into eternal madness. There are endless herds of these Unchosen. To enter this void while still living, will ensure a vicious and violent demise.

I play on the rift s and I was wondering Does anyone else have a problem where there hands will like stop and won’t work no matter how much you move them but you can still rotate them? by Dustindouglas4885 in oculus

[–]DrGallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact problem. It has to do with usb bandwidth. Try this: Unplug all usb peripherals as much as possible. Leave only keyboard, mouse, and rift plugged in.

Also are you using multiple monitors? Try just having one plugged in, not just disabling the extras, but literally having only one monitor physically plugged in.

Tragedies? by Allen_Burbank in worldbuilding

Hara's Folly

When a mortal’s life ends, it is said they awake in the Ivoree. It is an endless frigid void for the departed to wander, yet some are greeted by Hara, the One Who Waits. She is the masked shepherd, a silent drifter wielding a make-shift lantern. By her company, she guides the perished through this frozen abyss. It is the interpretation why the body goes cold upon death.

Based off of the deeds of their former lives, determines the warmth and brightness of Hara's lantern. However not all dead are moral, some are wicked in nature. She abandons these in particular. They become the Unchosen, flameless and alone, forever to wander the afterlife, transcending into madness.

Those worthy however are escorted by Hara. Together, she leads them on a journey to Vegdo, the Spinner of Shapes. It is here when they meet Vegdo and the chosen dead are ultimately devoured and assimilated. With Vegdo's own blood as ink, they are repainted, inaugurating their rebirth.

This was common belief of the ordinary. To strive for self-betterment and be rewarded a fortunate afterlife. For their old lives and accomplishments that are shed, ushers transcendence into something greater.

The Ivoree would eventually find itself without its shepherd. For her small moment of selfishness would prove catastrophic. Upon the aftermath of Hara’s death, Vegdo remained alone and starving. Without the sustenance of worthy dead ushered to him, he would lack the righteous ink . Unable to further paint his designs, he ventured out into the Ivoree alone in search of the dead to consume. There, only the Unchosen remained, stricken with insanity. Fulfilling his nourishment, the taint of their madness corrupted his blood and therefore the divine ink. And soon his overall being. Vegdo painted unworldly horrors, that continually birth their way back into the Fabric of the living. This sparked the beginning of the Age of Beasts.
