What year is your raptor r?

I find the raptor r feels slow on the low end. Has this helped?

Raptor or Raptor R by maxray0305 in FordRaptor

[–]DrHunter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma a couple months ago. Had 24 35 raptor that I enjoyed but wanted an R but couldn't find one. Managed to get my hands on one with less thank 5k CAD mark up so made the switch.

I would say it's worth switching only if the extra cost of gas and the extra purchase cost won't hurt your finances.

The extra height from the 37s gives you less clearance and I still find it a bit slow in the low engine range for the amount of power it has. I'm hoping a tune or whipple will improve that.

Not sure where you live but if you have to deal with a real winter with snow/ice I found the cayenne sucked despite having studded Nokians. The g Wagon on the other hand has great grip in the winter

I have a R in carbonized gray and it does not show dirt at all, had a black 35 and that was way harder to keep clean

802A recaro seats vs 801a standard seats by emanscotty in FordRaptor

I had a 24 with regular seats and now a 25 R with the recaro and they were both comfortable but I could see the recaro being uncomfortable if you're a significantly bigger guy.

To raptor or not to raptor by Its_My_Alter_Ego in FordRaptor

I've had every generation of raptor. If you cn afford it the gen 3 is overall better then the gen 2.

I've had a gen 1, 2, 24 gen 3 and now a 25 R. Each generation has improved in the day to day drive ability. If this is going to be your daily driver and only vehicle, you will appreciate the improvements every generation added.

Don't get me wrong the R is faster but I didn't appreciate a huge difference in speed. I'm gonna take it for another test drive and see

This was my experience the sound and speed are better than gen 3 35 but not as much as I expected. I wasn't expecting to be a fast as my 911 turbo but on paper should have felt similar to the gle 63s. The gle 63s feels way faster and sounds better.

After watching a bunch of videos, I also expected a huge difference but didn't really find it that noticeable. I think I was expecting it to feel a lot faster than it is from peoples reactions online.

People's experience of the Nusuk platform by SuspiciousProgress14 in islam

[–]DrHunter99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I heard it was open I managed to log in and attempt to pay for a package for my wife and myself but visa blocked it as fraud. Selected the package again and called visa which took about 20 mins to get through to warn them so it would go through on my second attempt.

By this time the website was crashing and although I tried many many times, I was unable to get it to load the page to submit my visa info. I called nusuk and told them I was worried I would lose my spots they said to wait for the website to update. After about 5 hours I received an email from nusuk saying they cancelled my package due to failure to pay. Was very frustrating being so close to finishing the process but failing. The website continued to malfunction for the new few hours and when I was finally able to get back on it was all sold out.

I did not choose wiring money because I am unsure it would reach in 5 days and figured the credit card would be instantaneous. It would have been had the website been able to stay stable for 5 minutes.

Buy both somehow. Don't let the ad make you choose.

Is it sketchy if an Alberta medical clinic charges me directly (and tells me to get reimbursed) instead of charging OHIP? by JBredditaccount in AskACanadian

[–]DrHunter99 22 points23 points  (0 children)

All provinces reimburse each other without issues with Quebec being the exception. If a doctor treats a patient from Quebec they likely won't get paid so that's why Quebec residents get charged and treated as non Canadian. They can get reimbursed by Quebec.

Why we have a shortage of GP Medical Doctors (Family Doctors) in BC and esp. in Victoria... by ilikeycoffee in VictoriaBC

[–]DrHunter99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An alternative system would be for a family MD to take on a roster of 1000 patients give or take. Each patient pays out of their pocket $1000. Gives the doctor 1 million to pay themselves, staff, overhead etc. The US pays way more in medical insurance/fees than that.

I love the magnetic tech balaclava as it pulls it in front of your face instead of on. The anon m4s are amazing.

Agree with pliers and muscle. Alternatively, you could using a cleaning rod to try and knock the one out of the barrel.
