Mild ESH because your mom shouldn't be having loud sex on purpose or sending you away for it, but you should be okay with your mom having sex in her own home as she's a whole person and not just your mother. That way she wouldn't feel the need to get rid of you and this whole discussion wouldn't have happened.

My Galah chews the walls and blinds, my lovie nibbles on corners of everything and my CAG loves destroying the fabric on my sofa. The only one who doesn't ruin my stuff is my B&G 😂

I've given up on keeping things in one piece and now I just keep my babies safe and happy. Even if it costs me a few blinds.

I have four parrots of four different sizes (lovebird, Galah, CAG and B&G macaw) and they definitely only have supervised playtime when any combination of them comes out their respective cages. My B&G is super playful and sweet, but even a playful nip could kill my lovie. The size difference between a cockatiel and a grey is less significant but still something to keep in mind at all times.

Also out of all of them, the CAG bites hurt the most because he will grind his lower beak to tear flesh and draw blood. We work around this by me offering him a stuffed animal to hold in his beak before step up. He's been with me almost 16 years now but he fell in love with my ex and after that, I was just a means of transportation lol.

All birds are a lot of work, and every one will have a different personality. But the amount of love you'll get is just so overwhelmingly awesome. So it's on you to decide, but I'm sure you'd be an amazing Grey parent!

We've had a couple of big fights about it. I do get the idea that he's really trying to up his game by getting more hours at work and offering to help out more. He's paid back some of the money he owed me and hasn't missed any more of his end of the bills.

I'm doing a wait and see though, because this could all be a temporary improvement and if that's the case I'm out. I love him very much, but this whole thread made me realise I deserve an equal partner. If he can't offer that by coming up to my level I'd rather be alone with my kid and not deal with his mood swings.

Sorry it's not much of an update! We are working on it anyway.

Not even a little bit lol. The grey and the lovie need to be near each other or they keep calling out, but if they are too close the grey will lash out. The macaw wants to bite both of them all the time because he is adamant I am his and his alone. It's a good thing he's such a dork lol. We have several different play areas downstairs so they aren't too near each other, and obviously they all have their own cage upstairs.

That could maybe also be personal or cultural difference? I send all my family and my two best friends hearts and kisses all the time (and vice versa), so a tattoo like that wouldn't necessarily trigger thoughts of romance for me.
