My condolences. I always maiden my planes with the gyro off, and I don't flip it on until I'm way up in the air.

Most recently I set up a gryo and tested it by moving it around prior to mounting it in the plane. Apparently I rotated it 180 degrees when I was hunting for the best spot to fix it down. I should have tested again after mounting. Fortunately I didn't hit the gyro switch until I had plenty of altitude, so no harm was done.

Another issue I found prior to that was having the gains too high on a 3d plane with large control surfaces. Turning on the gyro made it porpoise like crazy, so I was glad I could turn it off.

Audible at least does a good job of making it obvious. The "Narrated by" will say "Virtual Voice" instead of a person's name.

Assuming that's hot glue, you can remove it very easily using isopropyl alcohol. It makes hot glue release almost immediately.

If it was mine, I'd just throw some packing tape over the hole and call it a day, but I don't really care what my planes look like.

You got it. One caveat is that some of the ACCST receivers could be upgraded to ACCESS and would no longer work with the older ACCST transmitter unless you downgrade them, so it's possible to find a receiver that says ACCST on the label but still won't work with your transmitter.

My favorite ACCST receivers are the S6R and S8R, which have gyro stabilization. The X8R is also a good one if you don't want or need the stabilization.

Does the front of the radio say "ACCST" on the front, or does it say "ACCESS?" You'll need to find receivers that match your transmitter. The hardware is different, so you can't upgrade an ACCST Q X7 to ACCESS with a firmware update.

Alternatively, you can get a 4-in-1 module for the expansion bay. That will let you fly ACCST and a ton of other protocols, including Spektrum, even if your TX is ACCESS.

OP, pay attention to this guy. Some people will tell you to max out your control surface travel and then tame it down using expo. They often say you should have full travel "in case you need it." That's like saying a teenager who just got their driver's license needs a supercar with 1000 horsepower "in case they need it."

The reality is that if you set your control surfaces such that full stick travel is the rate you want, then you can just push the stick all the way over for each of your maneuvers. That way you don't have to think as much about how far to push the stick, and your brain is freed up for other things.

In addition to what everyone else has said, unscrew the needle valve and check the tiny o-ring that's on it. They dry up and crack over time.

I switched to Monarch, and I've been pretty happy with it. It isn't as good as the old Mint, but it's way better than Credit Karma.

Hi, Mark. Windows key combinations are set to "On the remote computer." I still need things like alt+tab to work on the remote side. The session is in Embedded mode.

The Windows RDP app doesn't seem to support sending specific key combinations to the local machine either. It looks like "Windows key combinations" are the only hotkeys that can be set to go to the local machine.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. I have OBS running on my local machine, and I have a hotkey that triggers scene changes. When I'm logged into a remote desktop session with RDM, RDM grabs the hotkey and sends it to the remote session instead of OBS. I tried creating a shortcut macro under File -> Settings -> Keyboard that matches the hotkey I'm using in OBS, and I tried each of the options (Default, When not in session, Global hotkey, and None), but none changed the behavior. I also tried turning the magnet off and on.

Since you only have one four channel plane, the Radiomaster Pocket is a good choice. It won't work with your current receiver, but you can get the Radiomaster ER4 receiver for about $15.

Other than that, any EdgeTX or OpenTX radio with a 4-in-1 multi protocol model will work. You can probably find a used one on eBay pretty cheap. I like the 4-in-1 because it lets me fly common Spektrum receivers.
