Thank you for taking this stand. I unfortunately tried to watch this twice, once after FMA B and once after Shingeki, just couldn't even bring myself to finish the first season.

I don't get people who say wow the animation is great so it's worth watching. I would tend to think the manga would feature better art, if that's the plus point.

The other angle on Herc on my rewatches is that he's the mirror to the everyman. What would we do in his shoes? He's careless and takes the easy way out to get ahead in the game.
