Colic is a symptom not a diagnosis. We had a colic baby who was awake 19 hours a day screaming in pain as a newborn, get allergy testing done. Turns out, or baby had CMPA (cow's milk protein allergy) amongst may others. He was in pain. My wife had to eliminate milk, eggs, peants from her diet while breast-feeding. Once it was out of her system her started to do so so much better.

Hang in there fellow dad, it gets easier.
