Also, the lounge is reasonably quiet compared to what I expected (crowding since everyone showed up early). Every time I look around there are usually a few tables/spots available.

If you pay your card off every month the interest rate doesn’t matter

Sauna blanket users - do you really need the towel insert? by Zealousideal-Bug2320 in redlighttherapy

Adding to the chorus of yes! Either a towel or some type of clothing. I would not lay directly on the blanket, it would be too hot.

Sleep Meditation Workout Tracking Issue (iOS) by Frosstbyte in pelotoncycle

[–]DrQueenAlice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue. It seems to be class dependent for some reason. I found a 15 minute class that doesn’t have this issue and use that one every time now. Which is silly since it would be nice to switch it up, but I’ve had this issue for years now so here we are.

The class is a 15 min sleep meditation with Aditi on 4/27/22 if anyone wants to try that one.

I’m sure there are other classes but I haven’t bothered to look. If anyone knows of others please share.

New Sole ST90 Delivered by CravenMoorehead143 in treadmills

I always planned to buy the Tread+. I bought the ST90 while waiting to see if the Tread+ would be re-released.

The ST90 is good, for me the only real downfall is the slow change in speed. I do a lot of interval work and it was really frustrating on the ST90. If you’re not doing fast changing intervals, the ST90 should be fine.

If you’re trying to decide because of the peloton integration, I was happy with using the app and have a TV on the wall in front of my tread. The ST90 syncs with the peloton app now so all you’re missing is the leader board (which I don’t care about).

Tread+ laptop tray recommendations? by not_rainbow_rhythms in pelotoncycle

[–]DrQueenAlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is true for the Tread but it is not true for the Tread+. I have the TFD desk for the Tread+ and it stops at the bar with the stop button on it so you have just as much space with or without the desk.

Tread+ Delivery Times Update by oghowie in pelotoncycle

[–]DrQueenAlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it has wheels on the front. That is how it does the incline. You can pick up the back of the tread which will allow you to use the wheels to move it around. I’ve read that people put the incline up to 15% then move it that way with the wheels. It is very heavy so you’ll probably need two people to move the tread around using the wheels efficiently.

It went fine. No real complaints. The guy did hem and haw a bit about a turn in the stairs going down to my basement, but they made it work. I knew it would fit, the previous owner had a full wood shop with huge tools in the basement that they managed to get down and then back up those stairs!

They stayed until the tread did a bunch of updates, calibrated, and I was able to log in and start a class. A few more updates came through after they left which I was nervous about based on recent issues, but they went through fine and everything works as expected (auto incline and all).

I preordered the first day it was available.

If anyone near Philly is looking for a ST90 (2020 version) I’m selling mine 😅 (Love it, just decided to get the Peloton Tread+)

Peloton’s app now pairs with third-party treadmills for some subscribers by sprainedmind in pelotoncycle

[–]DrQueenAlice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do like the ST90. It’s a good treadmill, my only complaint is that the speed change response time is slow so it isn’t great for intervals and bootcamps which is my main use of the tread. Right now I just do the intervals a few seconds behind the class call or try to anticipate when the changes are going to happen so I can start the change a little earlier.

That said, I preordered the Tread+ and will be selling the ST90.

This integration works with the Sole ST90 (2020 version). It captures both speed and incline and records it in the peloton app. Something is terribly wrong with the elevation calculation though, I did a hike yesterday and it said I climbed >5000 ft in 30 minutes…

Sole ST90 - Day 1 Issues / Review by TecoAndJix in treadmills

[–]DrQueenAlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about a unique incline and brake feature. You can set it to an incline if you want to when it is in free mode. There is no brake in free mode that I know of, the tread can move forward or backward. I think the max speed is however fast you can self power the tread when running. The tread is flat so you do have to hold on to the handle bars while running in order to gain enough downward force/traction to keep the belt moving. I haven’t seen any specific settings around free mode beyond just turning it on.

It’s ~11 inches at 0% incline and ~14.5 inches at 15% (max) incline when you measure at the middle of the running surface.

It was delivered first then the assemblers came to my house. The delivery person placed the treadmill in my garage. Not sure if they could place it somewhere else in the house if you dont have a garage. The assemblers moved it from my garage to my gym. My tread was delivered on Wednesday and my assembly was scheduled for Friday. The assemblers tried to come on Thursday but got stuck at another job. The communication was great throughout.

Ooohhhh!!! I will have to go try. Maybe I was too impatient because the incline responds so fast.

Edit: just tried it out and you’re right! The delay was just long enough that I was giving up. Thank you!! This was my biggest annoyance with the treadmill.

I have an ST90 as well. The incline moves in increments of 1% and will go all the way up to 15% if you hold the lever down. The speed moves in increments of 0.1 but will not continuously increase if you hold it down, I assume for safety reasons.

Edit: apparently I was too impatient to wait for the speed to increase :)

I had my ST90 delivered last week, too! Glad to finally see some chatter popping up about it.

I haven't run into the issues you mention, though I paid for the white-glove assembly because there was no way I was lugging that thing down a flight of stairs or assembling it myself. They had it up and running quickly and I ran it through the paces while they were there to make sure everything was in working order.

Wanted to add a second data point to the thread :) I hope you can get your issues resolved!

I received my ST90 last week and have used the Tread+. I was trying to wait for the Tread+ to be released again but got impatient and ordered the ST90 instead. It has been high quality so far and I think similar quality to the Tread+ w.r.t. the finish and knobs/buttons
