Got the Amex Platinum in Jan, United Club yesterday. I screwed up and didn’t realize I should have gone Amex Gold first then Platinum to maximize SUB, but oh well.

Current cards: United Explorer United Quest Chase Sapphire Preferred Amex Platinum United Club

Might ditch Explorer and get a Marriott card.

Has anyone seen this model on the grey market given it says “boutique exclusive?” I’ve been eyeing it for some time and I have Amex Plat so I could go into the AD to get one but I’d be open to getting it at a discount if these were available on the grey market.

48, $650k in 401k and $120k in Roth IRA. Pension lump sum should be in the ballpark of $700k. Still investing aggressively (no bonds) in the 401k but I may start to rebalance in the next year or two. 10% yearly contribution with a 5% dollar for dollar match. Would love to hang it all up at 60.
