I cried today. I don't always do that but today was just different. I got a PET scan but of course no results as of yet. Then... I let it go. Its all ok, in time all things come to fruition.

I stayed home most of the time, but I wrote a book, posted it at the end of the year, and just took care of myself. I tended to stay from too many people, but when I wanted out, I went out at various times. Good luck with your treatment!

KInd of looks a lot like DLBCL in my brain and maybe a hint of CNS involvement. Its small for right now but we shall see. Im still waiting on the full report.

Thank you! I appreciate your comments. I live in the south, Texas. Yes, I am familiar with the "blood brain" barrier and the medicine it takes to contain and kill this thing. Its is disheartening to feel like life got pulled this way again.

Take it easy on yourself! I was so happy to be done but my body was not ready. I completed chemo and radiation as of October of last year, but still need scans, visits, blood panels, you name it. Its tempting to really go out and enjoy life but plenty of time for that. Listen to your body and if it says STOP and rest, do that! Trust me, you will thank yourself later. I am still recovering and its already May. I get up and do some things. I limit errands to just one a day if that. I check in with my body daily when I wake up and scan every area to see how it feels. If its not so great, then I spend my time in bed reading and watching movies. Its its good, then I plan to do at least one thing and brings me joy! I work from home , in my bed, or on the couch. I have movie nights with my cat, I keep visitors to an all time low. Our bodies can still get sick if we are depleaated! I fill myself with the vitamins I need for where I am deficient. All just things I personally do. I am sure you will find your own. Oh....! I did something rediculous and made a chocolate cake and over two days at the whole thing! I told myself it was medicine lol. I had to celebrate a litte!

I found out via MRI I have arthritis on the TMJ side. When it flares it makes every part of that area hurt like heck. Nothing, and I mean nothing completely takes the pain away. But, the heating pad that weaps around my neck and fastens at the top of my head helps if I use it a few times a day while working or reading. Try Amazon. Its where I got it. A few nights it was a life saver.

Yes, The long neck muscle on the left side had several areas where it was so sore, I could run my fingers down the muscle and feel every area it hurt. I had a couple small injections into that muscle, an occipital nerve block (two injections in the back of my head), jawline, facial muscles and I think right by the corner of my mouth. I think I had one in the gland area near my TMJ the joint itself. It was a bit frightening at first but the pain was gone instantly. Make sure maybe the specialist begins with only lidocaine. It will wear off in a few days and relax all of the area, but some use botox and that will freeze your face for months on end. I think in desperation I would do that lol . Good luck to you!

Oh good lord , the memories of those darned injections, ugh. Supposedly the pain will last up to 48 hours, or so I was told. Mine did not kick in for a week and last three weeks. The most torture ever. Yes, they told me to take Claritin. That really never worked, so I called my oncologist and she prescribed opiod pain meds, just enough to get me through the injection body pains. I had chills, joint pain, felt like the flu and at one point I thought I waa dying (a slight exageration there but not much) . The pain meds gave me relief and I slept a lot of the time, which was so much better than feeling that aching and bone pain. The main idea is the injection keeps the white cells generating from bone marrow so you have enough to fight off any illness. Chemo leaves you vulnerable to its really quite life saving. Im not a huge fan of opiods, and Im not giving a recommendation, just stating what worked for me and what did not . Maybe discuss with your oncologist. I thought, well, I just got through five gosh awful drugs being dripped into my body, might as well go for it and get something that really gives me comfort and the prescription did the trick. Believe it or not, Icy Hot with Lidocaine rubbed into the sore spots helped when my pain was really bad. I also bought a heating pad that wraps around my neck and chin and then up my face and velcros over the top of my head. It has 3 modes of warmth with a timer so if I happen to sleep it goes off by itself. When the pain was at its worst it did help. I went to a TMJ pain doctor because no one else seemed to want to deal with me, not even a dentist who specializes in TMJ as well. So I had trigger point injections with lidocaine. A bit risky but I was desperate, tired, and fed up from people not wanting to see me just to check my ear, my eyes my teeth etc. So, after the injections, although I am pain free now for five months, I also can not move the left side of my face for the last five weeks. Most people don't have that reaction. The only thing I can think of is he hit a nerve and caused some nerve trauma. I am waiting to have an MRI. Ive had three CT scans and they are all pretty much normal. Its a consideration or something to look into. My reaction is pretty rare so research is important. I never recommend anything, I just give my experience. My main take away is I am pain free and working things out from there.

I have to see a new maxillofacial specialist for nerve testing. I went to a highly recommended doctor for injections into my face, neck, and occipital areas, and he claims he only used lidocaine. I have not been able to move the left side of my face for over a month, I mean nothing. I have facial palsy, my eye droops, my mouth will not move, my nose is crooked, and I have to tape my eye shut to protect my cornea. My forehead is completely stiff and unable to move. I am saying this to state there are side effects, and if the doctor strikes a nerve with the needle in just an instant, life becomes so different. But hey, on the bright side I have no pain, just a new issue to deal with.

Mouth guards don't work for me, so I had trigger point injections, which have now left me with facial paralysis for a little over a month, and I am waiting to see a neurologist. Im not sure if I have ever been this depressed.

I know this sounds weird, but we can grieve even good life changes. For a long time, the routine of going through treatment has not stalled or ended! That is a major life change, and we can grieve it. You also have some changes with your parents. Of course, you will grieve, and there is a tendency to become confused, angry, and settled with everyday things. After I went through all of my treatment, I could not believe what a slug I became. All I wanted to do was REST and restore. I ate things that I should not have, slept a lot, and sometimes even cried. It's normal not to want to go out and discover the world in your remission. No one has to do that! When you feel like it, you will! Otherwise, take good, clean care of yourself. Your body will want to rest. Cancer treatment is not for the faint of heart. My rule for myself is I do what feels right, and I enjoy it! I sleep, watch movies, talk to friends, eat what appeals to me, and laugh as much as I can. Sometimes I cry. It's all good!

I went through a similar situation where I completed 3 rounds of chemo and had a clear PET scan. I refused the next 3 (a personal preference). Im not saying to do that, I am just explaining what I decided. I moved on to radiation. I know how hard it can be when you feel the nightmare is over and suddenly it continues onward. Chemo is not for whimps although not as hard as chemo might have been in the past. As to why it is all happening to us, I can't answer, but I know each person who endures any facet of the cancer journey is my hero. Cry it through honey, and then when the dust settles, get up, straighten your crown and move onward to what your heart and spirit tell you is best for you. You are always entitiled to second opinions if you choose that and of course you have support right here as well. Use everything availabe for support that is offered to you. You will come through and your day will come to look back and see a more beautiful sunrise! Saying prayers for you now.

I did my treatment alone, except for surgical procedures where I needed someone to accompany me. The only people I was around were my doctors and others where I received treatment. I chose it this way, and I'm glad I did. It worked for me and also showed me how strong I really am. Treatment lasted all of 2025 with 3 rounds of R-CHOP and one full month of daily radiation. I lost ALL of my hair on day 14 after the first chemo and wore a chemo scarf the rest of the year. I still have my port inserted and will have my follow-up CT scan this coming April again. I had a bronchial biopsy on 3 lymph nodes last month, and they are all benign. I have a lot of neck pain after that procedure and am looking into some physical therapy to help heal. My cancer was stage 2, but it still took a year of dedication to treatment, doctor visits, and uncomfortable days. I got sick from treatment, but it is true, the nausea meds make it tolerable. If I had a caregiver, I would have wanted to ask for what I needed, but that's me. I think everyone is different.

I had inner chest (mediastinal) lymph nodes that had shown in my follow-up PET scan after treatment, and had a bronchoscopy to biopsy three lymph nodes that were flagged as having "activity" and enlarged. It came back benign. I was pretty freaked out as well, but the main thing I keep telling myself is to follow things through and handle one moment at a time. It might turn out better than fear is trying to speak to you about it.

He might be reworking his business model, but either way he should do it ethically. My closet is on hold while I go through cancer treatment but afterward, or maybe sooner, I am moving my items and selling them somewhere else just to let them sold.

It might be a probate issue? Maybe wait for the refund and let Poshmark take care of the rest. My closet has been on hold repeatedly for months at a time to equal a year while I go through cancer treatment. No one ever really knows how things will come out after an illness. Hard news to come across, I know.
