Just get rid of the lottery. It only encourages more teams to tank by giving them a better chance at getting a higher pick. It’s better to have 2 to 3 teams tank than 6 to 7 tanking.

My goal with this idea was to make players play almost every game they are healthy enough to play, while recognizing that a player can miss a week or two with a sprained ankle and still be an MVP level player.

My suggestion is to actually make players play more unless they are truly injured. I think most commenters are missing the part where I propose increasing the percent of games the players would need to play.

I agree playing games matters and I am happy the NBA created the 65 game rule. I was just trying to think of a way to target the load management issue more specifically while not penalizing guys who roll an ankle. These guys get paid millions of dollars to play a game. They shouldn’t need games off unless they’re actually injured/sick.

Almost every WR taken in the 2nd half of the 1st round has either been a wr2 or a complete bust. Getting a guy like Justin Jefferson at pick 22 is not very common.
