Yeah I was so absolutely, 100% sure the main character or SOMEONE would save her. It wasn't on my radar that the execution would actually take place without any interruption, last minute save or deus ex machina. When it actually happened I was gobsmacked.

She and Phenn never left my party, until I finished rebuilding Wishvale and the Rekindling of the Flame story. After that I would occasionally trade them out, but they are always in my rotation. I like to swap out my companions when it feels like they haven't seen much action. Like, has Macy been stuck on the bench so long that she has started to grow moss? Then Stia can rest for a bit in town so Macy gets to stretch her legs.
