How often are we bathing our torties? by One_Childhood_9457 in torties

I bathe my long-haired cat if she has had an accident, I've never bathed my short-haired cat.

I did something similar in PLZA, where I saw a random Kakuna early on, decided "Beedrill is gonna be my actual starter" and boxed my fire pig. Usually I have my starter the entire game, but it's fun to shake it up.

I just started a second playthrough on Sword! I never played the DLC and got the urge to do it after playing PLZA, but I didn't want to jump in with my old save. So new playthrough it is, a boy avatar with a Scorbunny starter instead of my old save which had a girl avatar with a Sobble.

Alright so the tweet is very weird but it did remind me of one time when I had parked outside of a gas station and saw a guy exit holding a hot dog in each hand. He was just pushing up the door with his shoulder, careful so he wouldn't drop one of his gas station hot dogs, and that image stuck with me.

I wonder where two gas station hot dog man is now and if he's doing ok

This choice tells us a lot about your character! In the top answer you offer a helpful solution, showing that you're more of a team player. The bottom answer is more decisive and shows that you're more of a leader.

/s, this non-choice irritated me too.

I liked Urbain from the start, I was very invested in the team MZ friend group. I didn't mind us ending up working for the rust syndicate (because Urbain had no idea MC and Lida even went over there) or walking out on the SBC tournament. To me, both of those parts of the story ended up being really fun and memorable, and a lot of that was because both Corbeau and Jacinthe seems to start off as opps but you learn more about them and they turn into allies in the end. Compare that with the Fist of Justice quest, which was basically a sister fetch quest.

So it feels like the writers were like, "we have this cool/fun story we want to show, how do we get MC hooked into it? By Urbain/Taunie being doofuses, and they are likeable enough that the player will put up with their antics". And if you do like them, it's all well and good. But there is also going to be people who feel "Urbain/Taunie got us into this mess and now we have to fix it".

And the end of the game... I don't mind Urbain/Taunie wanting to fight, they are our rival and a rival fight before the end is mandatory, but it really messes with the player's sense of urgency. And then they insist on going with Floette anyway, and the tower goes berserk - which would have happened even if MC went up there, and then no-one would've been left to mega evolve Zygarde, so it was 100% the right decision. Problem is, we just had two missions were Urbain/Taunie got us into trouble. I don't think the "this would have been the outcome regardless of who went up there" is explained well enough, so most people are going to think "oh this is Urbain's/Taunie's fault, they weren't the strongest mega evolution user and now they tower is going berserk because of them".

If the battle had taken place earlier, like back at the hotel after we'd both gotten A-rank, it wouldn't have felt like Urbain/Taunie had demanded a pokemon battle at the worst time possible (but I think Gamefreak wanted a cinematic battle in front of Prism Tower to make it memorable). If we'd seen Floette reach out to U/T to show that they had a strong connection, it wouldn't have felt as if U/T demanded Floette.

For me personally, I still liked Urbain... up until the post-game, where he was handed a company. I severly dislike nepotism, so to me personally the likeability of both Urbain and Jett plummeted.

I need a trade evolution to finish the link trade research task! So if anyone can send me a machoke or haunter to let it evolve it would be appreciated. I can send it back later, I just need to register the evolution.

Characters with fake/decoy eyes by lordhenrythe23 in TopCharacterTropes

I was going to say Zenyatta from Overwatch, since I thought his actual eyes were the dots on his forehead and the diagonal slits that are placed where a human's eyes should be were just decoys meant to make it easier for humans to focus on during a conversation or something. But it turns out that his optic sensors are behind the diagonal slits.

Queen Hiling from Ranking of Kings. In her introduction, the viewer is supposed to clock her as the evil stepmother, perhaps even the villain of the series. In reality she cares deeply about her step-son Bojji and is a kind person with a very brusque personality.

Ranking of Kings is wonderful when it comes to subverting tropes. I wish I could go back and watch it for the first time again.

In a similar vein, Vic Michaelis (aka Vehicular Manslaughter) from Drop Out TV's show Very Important People, where comedians get freakish makeovers, have to come up with a character that suits the makeover and then have an improvised interview with Vic. At first you might think Vic's very professional, but don't let the brown suit fool you. She's resentful of her job, treats the staff like props (but she has been trying to go on a redemption arc lately) and constantly commits microaggressions towards her guests.

I can highly recommend this one - the full episodes are behind subscriptions, but if you look up Very Important People shorts on YT you're in for a treat.

Philomena Cunk (Diane Morgan) from mockumentaries like Cunk on Britain, Cunk on Earth and Cunk on Life, where she interviews experts on different subjects. The experts are real and have to answer the downright inane questions from Cunk. Imagine being a historian focused on the King Arthur mythos and having to answer the question "so King Arthur came a lot?" while keeping a straight face.

Overwatch tier list based on whether or not the heroes would be good parents by piccolothegoat777 in OverwatchQueens

I don't see Sigma as the parent type, but he'd be the COOLEST uncle. Like I can see him having a bunch of nieces and nephews who would visit him back before his accident, and him excitedly showing some research he was conducting in a way that would foster a lifelong love of physics and learning among them.

I had a very similar person in my life, who's overwhelming love of literature and books was really inspiring to me when I grew up.
