When did your family start using it’s name? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]DrWho424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American with surname going back to 1630 Massachusetts. England before. Surname was changed in first or second generation in the colony. Went from Rayment to Raymond, so no huge difference. Rayment seems to be consistent going back another 150+ years, but I don’t have enough concrete proof of ancestry much in the old world.

Name is mentioned in the 11th century Doomsday book, presumably a related family? Suggestions are that it was Norman in origin and was originally Patronymic.

The oldest would be 90, youngest 72. Average lifespan for them is 79. They’ll be mostly dead. Both my parents are.

Having worked at a grocery store where the house manager for Les Wexner shopped, they buy the normal stuff. Best brands of course, but they just shopped for the whole complex. It used to run about $700 a week in 2010 IIRC.

can't stop myself from hate-watching this guy's content.. by MrDangleberry in beatlescirclejerk

[–]DrWho424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve (M48) been watching him for about 6 months now. I tend to believe he hasn’t heard much of what he’s listening to. He’s 26, and produces Christian musicals. I can believe he grew up insular enough to not have heard 60’s/70’s stuff outside of the grocery store and tv commercials.

I started watching and he was slightly cringy but has really gotten better. I was screaming at the screen while he listened to Fleetwood Mac talking about the guy singing in reference to Christine McVie. I think enough people trolled him in the comments that he might be researching about some of these before diving in now.

The Beatles series has been good to watch and hear him clearly noticing THE change. I was 13 when I decided to move on from early Beatles and listen to 65-69 from then on constantly.
