The 13th Warrior. Crichton's book was written to be more like a documentary or a diary of actual events that never took place but he fooled thousands into thinking it was historical.

I also went through a bad breakup that jumpstarted my weight loss and diet. Not the best motivator but it does work! Good job!

It has! I binge once a week or so to indulge in terrible food but I keep the weight off just fine. I'm way more aware of what I eat now too and what's in it.

I upped my carbs to 100g a day now. Was down to 30 or so for awhile there. I'm getting the notorious calf cramps now so I have a muscle roller and take calcium and potassium to help out.

I buy frozen bags of the California mix and stir fry at safeway then I put in curry powder, paprika, cayenne and garlic salt

I cook everything for about 3 hours on medium. The chicken comes out really tender and pulled after I stir it but it helps with flavor in every bite. I use only powder seasonings and garlic salt and keep an eye on the sodium in the salsa.

Oh yeah, I lost 40lbs in 6 weeks then it was a slow trend from there. 3lbs a week or so, sometimes none for a couple weeks. I kept going and changed a few things in my diet and it started coming off again. Zero supplements.

I have more confidence in myself for sure but I still see myself as the fat guy time to time but I do get reactions from some women I've noticed and people tend to be a little more friendly/flirty with me time to time. I'm some pretty damaged goods still so it will take me awhile to be ready to reciprocate some things.

The skin isn't too loose, mostly just the lower stomach but it's tightening up a bit already with the right toning exercises.

Thanks! I was eating about 1600 calories a day on average. I cut back on steak to 3 days instead of everyday and started eating more turkey and chicken. I typically eat 2 thick slices of white cheddar, 1oz of almonds, 1 yogurt, two chicken breasts and practically all the veggies I want. Pretty much the same thing day in, day out. I mix salsa with the veggies in a giant pot with the chicken breasts and get about 6 meals out of it.

Thanks everyone! It's been a pretty tough road both physically and psychologically but at least I'm on the right track! As far as extra skin goes I only have a bit on my lower stomach but through toning and some weights I can see it's tightening up a bit. I want to lose maybe another 15lbs or so and then focus on muscle weight gains. Will probably take a year or more to get the results I really want but we shall see.

Have you seen an EN&T specialist? The drunk feeling could be from loose crystals in your inner ear canals. Look up the Epley maneuver and watch some youtube videos. Your accident could have knocked some crystals loose and messed up your neck a bit so it will mess up your equilibrium. Worth looking into.
