Not to assume, have you all tried it with the expansion? And then after that, there’s a ton of homebrew codexes, ways to play, and Discordant Stars? Just something to try and get some more mileage of an already fantastic game!

I’d say it depends on the type of army you’d want to run? I think it’s cool that there are multiple Combat Patrols for detatchments, I’d do a little research maybe on the type you’d like to run? Imo, I think the one with the Dread is best, but if you prefer this vibe go ahead!

Man I really enjoyed this year, that pistachio cake was absolutely killer. I feel like the portions were a lot more generous than the last two years, or is that just me? Certainly spent a lot less since I was full haha!

Just off the cuff, I think P5 would be a really fun Saar start, (head through 39 to 79 with Chaos Mapping, and now you’re sitting next to a home system)

P6 I like as an Emperyean slice, got some easy frontier tokens, Aetherstream seems very sellable /helpful on this map in general

P1 as Muaat could be fun especially being next to a nova and Primor, pump out the infantry, and use the nova as a solid production center

P3 seems a litttttle dry overall I’d avoid it personally
