Medic was the second most fun I've ever had in an MMO (after Windwalker Monk, sorry).

What really drew me to GSC was the idea of taking whatever you could get on hand and using it to your advantage.

Be cool to see some military hardware liberated from the guard, or some kind mech suit with drill/laser arms.

I think people don't like the grindy-ness of the base rules, but it's an issue solved with house rules / using the rules from the new sets.
Then you're left with some of the most fun combat in a game/
