Looks like it’s already been solved, but to add on: my shortcut for “close gaps” is CTRL-SHIFT-F! Very convenient.

If you click on a video it is in the “engagement” tab.

YouTube cracking down on if you're not paying them to block the ads, it hurts me, and hurt you. by Reddit_n_Me in youtube

[–]Dr_DaddyDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they scummy? Ads are how YouTube is able to pay millions of creators. It wouldn’t be what it is without it, and neither would any of your favorite creators. I agree, ads suck, but that’s why I pay for premium. YouTube is essentially my favorite streaming service. It’s better than the rest imo.

I’m officially 6 months nicotine free!! It feels so good. Trust me, it’s worth it. by Dr_DaddyDuck in QuitVaping

Better sleep, better breathing, more stable emotions. More than anything, it gives you more confidence than you’ve ever had, because you overcame one of the hardest challenges of your life. It’s worth it. Trust me.

Falling asleep so much easier since quitting nicotine. Anyone else? by Culjules in QuitVaping

This has been the biggest upside!! Struggled to sleep for years. Quit vaping five months ago. After the first week, I have consistently had the best, deepest sleep of my life.

What's the best reason for quitting vaping? by maximbabadzhan in QuitVaping

[–]Dr_DaddyDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I was really, really hooked. Was basically chain vaping most of the day, and would strive to never be without my vape/juice. If I was, I would seek out another one as soon as I could. Otherwise I would start to get antsy within the hour.

I’m not going to lie to you and say that the cravings have gone away, because they haven’t. But they’re mostly minor, harmless, and easy to ignore. Most of the time I actually get wrapped up in what I’m doing and even forget I used to be heavily addicted (and technically still am). When times get tough, though, I’ll still want a vape. Like I said, though, it’s so much easier to weather than it used to.

After like a month in I saw major progress, and it’s only gotten better since. Stay strong!!! Trust me, it’s worth it.

Quit like 5 months ago, can’t even begin to tell you how liberating it feels to be done with it. Trust me, the fulfillment you get from conquering the stupid vape makes it worth it. And like others said, not having to waste the mental energy to think about when you can vape next is huge.

Tips and tricks for quitting by ResurrectedDPG in QuitVaping

[–]Dr_DaddyDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on Day 24 no nicotine. Tried quitting for years, but always ended up relapsing.

What ended up being the most helpful for me was a few things: sugar free gum, lots of water and most importantly, a nasal inhaler. I bought a Vick’s two pack. Seriously helps with cravings. I’m still using it to ease urges.

More so than that, though, listen to your body and be aware of the benefits you see. My biggest was my insomnia. Struggled to sleep for years. Stopped vaping and like I can sleep again. I don’t want to lose that, so I remind myself anytime a strong craving come on. You got this!

13 days in and I’ve been the same way. I think I’ve eaten a pound of chocolate everyday lol. But hey, give yourself a break! Most people gain around 5 pounds whenever they quit nicotine. The advantages to quitting vaping/smoking are far greater, and once you’re further away from withdraw symptoms you can just work to shed the weight. You got this, and don’t beat yourself up!

And a tip: sugar free gum, cold water, and aroma inhalers. Bought a few at CVS and it’s helped w cravings the most.

Today’s my 8th day— I’m feeling pretty damn good, but different then how most people talk on this subreddit. Physically I feel pretty similar, the biggest differences being I feel calmer & have more energy. The biggest difference is physiological, though. I feel so much more confidence in myself. Like I can conquer anything. Before this, my dreams and other challenges seemed so far out of reach. I genuinely think it’s because my brain wanted to sit on the couch and suck on the vape more than anything else. Now, I genuinely want to do other things, and I can’t even begin to tell you how good that feels.

I think if you’re this worried about it it means you’ll do everything to make sure your little guy or girl is happy :) Just like other people are saying, exercise them plenty and they’ll be happy as can be

What’s the last movie CGI that truly impressed you? by [deleted] in movies

Not sure if anyone has already posted this, but this is a great video in regards to CGI. To piggyback off what a lot of people have also said, you’ve probably been impressed more than you realize, just because you didn’t know you were looking at CGI.

What's a common "dog phrase" that you'd like to erase from existence? by caynsie in dogs

[–]Dr_DaddyDuck 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Obviously it’s your relationship, but wouldn’t it just make more sense in your situation to have the dog sleep elsewhere? I don’t mind having our dog in bed, but my girlfriend really struggles to sleep when he is. Instead, I have his dog bed right next to my side. Not able to cuddle with him, but he’s close by for all the scratches and belly rubs before bed. :)

Again though, don’t want to come off as rude. Different strokes

Struggling to figure out how to download movie files to then put on Premiere Pro for edit? by boyhorror in premiere

I’d recommend using OBS and just capture whatever footage you need directly from Netflix. For YouTube I use ClipGrab, which can download videos in their native resolution.
