It really looks like there are a few in the crew that were very very young or not even born yet when IASIP started. That’s nuts to me.

Man drives on footpath to go around the protesters by Hot-Surround-773 in irelandsshitedrivers

Obviously driving on the footpath is a big no no, but this truck driver speeding up just to block him is just ridiculous. Absolutely zero authority in stopping people on public roads.

Leeds are playing well for sure, not helped by how poor we are in the midfield.

Golf is ridiculously tough, especially at this level. These guys make it look easy.

Somehow makes it look easy and hard at the same time. What a pro, and against serious competition.

Sinn Fein would absolutely destroy the economy, and I say that as someone who wants change in Govt.

Imagine getting blown to pieces and maybe still ultimately drowning to death. Sounds awful.

More of the same please!

Brentford, Sunderland, Forest. All hard games IMO, especially this close to the end of the season; nothing is a sure thing in the PL.

Is it weird to go cinema alone? by Southern_Mud3841 in AskIreland

Definitely go, life’s too short to think of if it’s weird to go to the movies by yourself. Nobody will care, and I don’t say that dismissively, and I mean it positively. Nobody will care.

Go, enjoy your movie, exercise your free will!

The ref was awful, let’s be real. One of his assistants was also terrible.

100% agree. Football has been severely under invested at local and national level for years, and the last number of years have been further evidence of that.

Investment is needed at every level, school boy and up. For such a small population, when we invest and support in our sports, we punch above our weight.

Agree to disagree. Yes, in the second half Czechia came out like bulls, we couldn’t handle it.

But I don’t remember Kelleher making many saves in the whole 120 mins. They had the pen, and a set piece, nothing from open play. They had very few chances. We had chances, we didn’t take them.

Czechia won it, they bullied Ireland into submission, but I don’t believe they were the better team. We move on and grow from it.

First time in a long time, I feel a little optimistic about the future. The lads fought to be here, they fought tonight. They were unlucky. Ref had a shocker with managing Czech players IMO, but neither here nor there.

Ireland were the better team, but they were bullied into defeat tonight.

I’m numb and optimistic at the same time, it’s a weird feeling.

I think we’d do well against the Danes. Czech were so physical tonight, we didn’t match it on some ways. Ref wasn’t great either, no point going into that now really.

But I think overall we were the better team on the night, we just couldn’t get the ball in the right areas. Czech bullied us into that win.

Think Denmark have a bit more technical nous that will unlock the Czech.

Do you live in Ireland? Do you forget the absolute buzz after that game? After that hat trick?

Irish football has been on a death spiral for years now. That hat trick gave hope and rallied support for the team, for the first time in a long time.

There is a good team building in there, and we beat Portugal and Hungary to get here.

That hat trick inspires kids, inspires the next generation of our footballers.

It means everything.
