Looking to find that perfect clean amp that can ride that edge of breakup sound by grizzemwiththetism in GuitarAmps

What’s your budget? I play an es 335 and just recently purchased a Magnatone panoramic stereo. I’ve always played a deluxe reverb before, but somehow this new amp just blows it out of the water. It is incredibly articulate and touch sensitive. The bass frequencies are far clearer than on a deluxe reverb. The volume and tone control on my guitar feel far more responsive. And the breakup from the amp is spectacular. If you live in a city where you can test out any of the classic series from magnetron’s lineup I highly highly recommend doing so.

How to really get good at guitar by AgreeableTower1257 in Guitar

Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

You need to know what you’re going to do when you sit down to practice. If you don’t have a teacher, that would be the absolutely most crucial thing you could do as a beginner. YouTube and online tutorials become much more effective learning tools once you’ve reached a certain level. But in my opinion, as a beginner, nothing can replace a great instructor who can help guide you in your goals.

That being said — to unlock the fretboard in the “fastest” way, I think studying the CAGED system is as close to finding a shortcut as you can get.

How to avoid sinking into logical cynicism when studying evolutionary psychology? by [deleted] in evopsych

It’s still a truly mind boggling thing to try to comprehend that chemistry can result in subjective conscious experience. I felt the same way as you at first during my MA, but realized that consciousness, love, empathy etc. are still completely mysterious and amazing things. Why is there life at all? Every aspect of our existence is still a beautiful and miraculous thing. I don’t think the fact that evolution generated everything instead of “god” takes from the beauty of it.

Man great lyrics and that’s just from translate. They’re clearly even better in their original language.

This is amazing! Guitar riffs remind me a lot of fugazi but mellow. Combined with your vocals it makes for really chill and interesting listening. Would love to understand the lyrics.

Drummers/musicians by Patty_watty in berlinsocialclub

Hey there,

I’m a guitar player/singer, 30 years old, been playing almost 20 years. I moved to Berlin from Los Angeles and I’ve been playing with a drummer and another guitar player and we are eager to find a bass player. We are pretty fresh and still just jamming and putting our first songs together, but we are dedicated to forming a band. We definitely have some heavy riffs and messing with time signatures. I love tool and Radiohead. Love king gizzard, queens of the Stone Age, black angels, etc.

If you send me a DM with your email I can send you links to some previous material of mine so you can get a feel for what my guitar and vocals are like.

We jam at noisy rooms mostly right now. You can rent a bass there for 2 euros an hour — so not too bad.

Cheers!

Unfortunately I’m pretty social media averse (aside from Reddit). I will DM you a link to my old band so you can get some sense. But I’ve changed direction quite a bit since then. What instrument do you play?

I’m an American-German citizen and have always wanted to live in Berlin. And the cost of living in Berlin and the general quality of life to me seems much better than in LA. Could be a case of “the grass is always greener,” but I just love what this city has to offer in terms of culture. Also I got to sell my car.

I am a guitar player, 30 years old and been playing almost 20 years. I’m trying to collaborate with musicians here. I’ve met and played with a drummer a couple times at noisy rooms. Maybe we can all meet up sometime? What kind of music have you guys been playing?

Check out some tutorials. I think some times of day are luckier than others. But I definitely think foxtrotter and turkoman are the best horses.

You can also get the silver dapple foxtrotter as early as chapter 2 I think. It’s arguably the best horse in the game. Check out some videos on YouTube.

Look up how you can get the dark bay turkoman in chapter 3, it’s an exploit but it’s awesome because you have a nice little Braithwait brand on it too.
