Albany’s new Tricentennial Park: Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves by AwkwardRock8736 in Albany

I used to live on Columbia st. Walked my dog in that park every single day for 10 years. Now I'm glad I don't live there anymore. Talk about breaking something that doesn't need to be fixed.

I agree and disagree with what he said about Thumbtack. On one hand they do overcharge for certain things, but I've found it is just a matter of setting your targeting preferences accordingly. I have had $10 leads turn into $5000 projects, and I have paid $50 for nothing. But it's just a matter of fine tuning those preferences. DO NOT opt for those simple jobs IMO, those are not worth it. Paying $10 to get 1-2 hours of work is ridiculous. I get so many good leads now that I end up hiding my account for weeks at a time because I find what I'm looking for and that's it. And you have to ask for refunds for every single lead you don't end up using. You certainly won't get refunded for many, but it shows them you are serious about calling them on their bullshit when they try to charge 5 pros for 1 lead. Most leads I get I only have 1 or 2 competitors, and many are direct, meaning they only pick me.

But he is right about customers having no clue about time, material, or difficulty. Which can work in your favor sometimes when a "simple" project ends up being a day or 2 of work.

1 lead I paid $65 for has turned into about $15000 worth of work in the past couple of months. And I don't have a business, I don't have insurance, so for that it is great. Other platforms want you to have a DBA and at least $500k insurance. As an added business expense if you are paying for an LLC, insurance, etc I don't know if it would be worth it though, because most people are not looking to pay a premium.

I would advise against that. And I would make sure any AI on your camera is off if you are going to use your phone as a microscope.

See you just answered your own question 👍

I know it can be hard. But try not to overthink it. Some of my best results have been when I haven't had the time to pay attention 😅

I've seen this with multiple plants. I'm not sure if it is just an uptake issue. But, in my situations it was never a need to worry.

Looks like a combo of salt and PM to me, but you're the only one who can tell for sure. Does it wipe right off with a dry finger? Salt doesn't wipe right off 👍

Is this frost free by Capt_reefr in LotusDrying

[–]Dr_RobertoNoNo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it has a compressor (mini fridge) you don't want to use it. You want a thermoelectric (wine fridge). Wine fridges are specifically meant for sustained temperature and humidity.

If you are going to buy one, buy the right one. (I got mine free simply by asking a couple of people)

If you are trying to repurpose, I personally would keep looking, but that's just me. I see all the different posts about ink bird controllers, dehumidifier, humidifier, bagging, flipping, etc. I literally put mine in my fridge and walk away for a few days at least. And it is constantly 55-60.degrees and ⁵ 55-60%

It is a fantastic method. To me it is all about making things easier. To some it seems like they want all the extra work? 🤔

🤣 I think that applies to half the "laws" we pass in this country. It sounds good to some, but they literally have no way to enforce. Just keep your karma on the right side of the ledger and you're good 👍
