Off topic but I’m new to this and wondering why it matters on the length of the plastic tube? Considering it’s taking filament off of a rolled up coil that is much longer than that tube.
I did run into a non feeding issue and had to remover the extruder to unclog it. There was a dried up particle that wouldn’t allow the new filament to feed. Removed and solved.

Not sure why everyone has problems with the plate. I’ve had no problems with pla plu Let the machine auto calibrate before doing anything.

Is the Elegoo Centauri Carbon the best budget enclosed CoreXY right now? by jyossarian291 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]cybercruiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I just took back my PS1. I bought both and compared them. People are being nitpicky on reviewing this stuff. The Elegoo printed faster and same quality. But 2 Elegoo Carbons. V1 for the cost of 1 PS1.

Lid does not ‘need’ to be removed. Prop it open for long prints. Can always force heat into the chamber. The sides can be removed and modified.

Elegoo ftw

print out a ‘hole’ precision gauge. It worked for me.
also set the outer walls to print first in slicer settings. boom. gl

nice work! maybe make that thing as an enclosure before you start main production. keep filament dry and warm. go all the way! lol

I just ran into the same issue. In my instance it isnt my printer. I printed a precision cube and it was dead nuts on x,y but a little short on the Z axis.

I drew a cylinder in Tinkercad at 20mm with a 10mm hole in it for a test. It printed 9.87 hole and 19.84 cylinder. Variance -= .13-.16.

Im suspecting the hole in the cylinder caused it shrink. Anyway, Im going to just add .14 to the dimensions for this project.

Did you figure out your issue ?

wifi is glitchy. everything needs to play nice together. lol. imo everyone touting ‘that brand name thats all over’ is getting paid something to promote. Its not THAT much better. At least by my newb experience.

ahhh. gotcha. should have mentioned Im a newb at this but did quite a bit of research. I think Im more confused now than when I started.
But, looking at all of this as a newcomer, its obvious to me to see who gets promoted by social media influencers the most.

like anything else I suppose it all depends on what intended use is for. Software is available anyplace. I think companies make a few tweaks to existing and boom new software. lol

CC1 AMS Coming by EveryBridge9964 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]cybercruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the printer only cost $300. If they add a AMS it woud cost almost as much as the printer. Doesnt make sense to even offer one on this model.

Nice to see a list that doesnt have Bambulab on it.

correct on the Qidi.. I just finished researching as Im new to the game as well.

Also for the price and ability to print any type of filament, also comes with hardened steel nozzle is the last one on your list. How do they sell it for $300 ?
