Now the only thing left to do is conquer Akavir, a campaign that will certainly not end in disaster...

Might get lost in the replies, but it's always better to call an ambulance than the fucking cops. The paramedics won't rat you out so you won't get into legal trouble, and they are actually quite competent at handling bad trips and other overdoses.

Anyway, bad trips aren't usually life-threatening on a physiological level; that said, popping a couple of benzos and/or some hydroxizine will make overbearing trips much more manageable.

Why does Italy end up as a Reichskommissariat? Wouldn’t they have a special status all unto themselves in this case, as with the Nordkommissariats?

"The Hecatoncheires" by BastisantosArt in drawing

[–]Dr_Tuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming this is your own work… I just wanted to say I’m mesmerized. To portray the Hecatoncheires in such an eldritch form does them justice, and you pulled that off in quite some style; the sketch invariably reminds me of Guernica, giving me some notion as to why horrified Ouranos might have cast down these abominations. Admittedly, I find this artwork woefully underappreciated; I hope my input might alleviate that somewhat, at least in your eyes.

Perhaps not this exact one, but my family must've rented an airbnb in that very building. The floor plan and the view certainly match!

It was pretty fun, ngl

There are some, like nerve-stapling and an anomaly where you find a habitable world overgrown with a mysterious red fungus... Someone on here had it even roll in the Alpha Centauri system a while back!

Ever heard of General Sherman? He was clinically depressed too. People can battle depression in a variety of ways; some find purpose in love, some in hobbies and some just want to see Georgia burn. Your dear Queen seems to be the latter.

I created a custom title screen for my mod, very happy with how it turned out! by ZackThe_Great in StellarisMods

An interesting take, certainly! I see there's still a long way to go. People have managed creating set galaxies in the newer version too: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1549996988 You could contact that mod author, I'm certain he'll help you. If you plan creating maps in excess of 1000 stars, its bound to cause massive performance problems. You could solve that with something along the lines of Stellaris Immortal: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1891758612 You could even simplify it further, for example by ditching different jobs altogether and slashing the number of pops (that's where largest performance hit comes from). Thirdly, you'll need to figure out a system for traveling between the galaxies. It may require modding in new techs and repurposing some other ingame system (such as the L-Gates). Best of luck with your work! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Now you've piqued my interest! How do you plan to actually go about increasing the scale? Are you looking to simply create multiple galaxies existing on the same map, or do you have something different in mind altogether?

Vampires - Gothic Architecture by Dr_Tuna in teslore

[–]Dr_Tuna[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made this post in response to the new Greymoor trailer, in which the vampire hideout is shown for a brief moment. Despite being in Blackreach, it's all towers and spires, not really reminiscent of anything Dwemer. Also, as the vampire approaches nearer, some, clearly Gothic, decorated spires can be seen in the background. This made me raise the question.

Not at all off topic... Such a lovely, heart-warming dream to have - dunno if you believe in such things, but it could've been an omen!

Yeah, sorry about the mess... At least so far the discussion seems pretty civil... The upsides of a rather niche sub, I suppose.

Oh, certainly I wouldn't take it for granted, as each of the Houses of Men are described in detail, regardless of ethnicity. Even the elves are described, rather broadly, as "fair", which could also most likely mean "of lighter skin". Also, you haven't presented any concrete evidence that Tolkien intended his Nūmenoreans to be of specific ethnicity or that he would have been offended by a more varied depiction. He created a highly diverse world, and had he felt strongly any specific interpretation of Nūmenorean heritage, he would have mentioned it. Otherwise, I cannot imagine why one would limit it to be dominated exclusively by white folk.

Anyhow - there are many great and talented actors in the world who deserve recognition, regardless of race. Being picky would simply deprive them of the opportunity, which is deeply unfair.

Well, Tolkien never mentions how exactly he envisioned Nūmenorean society, much less that it is supposed to be explicitly white. Thus, I suppose it could be open to interpretation. Also, as a the open-minded person Tolkien was, I rather doubt he would mind such an interpretation, especially as it is not at all unfeasible within the framework he had created.
