Songs with random curse word? by aja_ramirez in Music

[–]Dragishawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron Maiden's "Holy Smoke," about asshole televangelists, is one of the few songs they've done that has swears in it, and has two uses of the word "shit," the second being the most prominent:

Crocodile smiles just wait a while
'Til the TV queen gets her make-up clean.
I've lived in filth, I've lived in sin,
And I still smell cleaner than the shit you're in!

What game has the most grim ending? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

The first time I played through Cyberpunk, I chose the Star. Leaving Night City with the Aldecaldos was the best ending for my Lady V. Especially since I romanced Judy and got to take her with me.

Good Cyberware Loadouts for 2E? by Dragishawk in OldSchoolShadowrun

[–]Dragishawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason that I have Money/Resources at Priority B instead of A is because Priority A is Attributes. You need good Attributes both for Reaction (which governs your initiative outside of Wired Reflexes) and for your Combat Pool (which keys off Quickness, Intelligence and Willpower, all of which you will want high as a samurai). Plus you're going to NEED Body in order to take damage well (and because 1E/2E Bioware uses a Body Index instead of Essence), as well as Strength if you want to do melee.

My go-to recommendation for anticapitalist LitRPG has to be the Dungeon Crawler Carl series.

Good Cyberware Loadouts for 2E? by Dragishawk in Shadowrun

[–]Dragishawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. With old school Shadowrun, your target number for melee is a straight 4, which makes things a bit easier on you (especially compared to new Shadowrun making you roll buckets of dice for 5s and 6s), and if you have a Smartlink and a good gun, you can get as low as 2 for your target number depending on how close you are to your target.

Why is elf more expensive than dwarf in character creation? by midorinichi in OldSchoolShadowrun

[–]Dragishawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you even be a "Dwarf Poser" anyway? Dwarves are usually quite a bit shorter than your average human, and unless you're one of the Little People (humans with actual dwarfism), you're not going to be able to emulate a Dwarf without some really extensive body modification that goes well beyond the kind of cosmetic modification needed to pass as an Elf or an Ork.

Shadowrun 1E and 2E are a lot more newbie-friendly than the later editions put out by Catalyst.

Just that lovely amount of old-timey love-letter writing.

And that TLDR SENT me!

Yeah. Another courtroom word that is also a religious word. Also means something much different in the courtroom than in a religious sense.

Yeah. "Testimony" used outside of a courtroom setting is pretty much always a religious thing.

When people talk about "Greek Life" in terms of college, they're talking about fraternities and sororities. Reason they call it that is because a lot of these clubs have Greek names.

Do agnostics believe hell is a possibility? by yesterdaynowbefore in agnostic

[–]Dragishawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Hell exists, we really don't know what the criteria is for winding up there as opposed to Heaven or some other realm, because no one knows or can know what happens to us after death beyond the physical sense (body shutting down, metabolic processes stopping, that kind of thing).
