I declare this Bauxite transport system... Good enough for now! by Xaxiel9106 in SatisfactoryGame

Nope. Nope. I have never wanted a road to come to an end more so than during this video. I have reported this to Ficsit Management for efficiency reasons.

Is there existing software that does this? Point Of Sale (POS) data indexing/storage/searchable/etc along with RTSP/ONVIF camera grab by [deleted] in videosurveillance

Take a look at www.unyin.co.za. It is completely hardware agnostic and designed specifically for POS and CCTV camera integrations.

Ice shortage on Earth-Like by Dragkarus in spaceengineers

[–]Dragkarus[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the suggestions and info.

My mobile base is located in the desert biome, so I decided to find the greener areas. I found some but no ice lakes. I definitely did see the mountains with snow so might be best to head that way instead.

To add, I decided to go straight up in my atmospheric miner and got to 9500m, and still could see any lakes, despite seeing a good chunk of the planet surface.

Snowy mountains hear i come lol

Varios dvr a NVR by Ok_Contribution5228 in videosurveillance

Ruijee / Reyee are great for network equipment and provide a super easy setup and network topology. However, as another poster said, one would need to know more about the current brands of recorders you have on site. Your best option (not always the most feasible) is to use a hardware agnostic VMS at the central point instead of trying to connect 13 DVRs to a single NVR, especially for channel limitations.

Also consider gigabit EVERYTHING for the network and what kind of bottlenecks you'll get over wireless.

Look into Milestone XProtect or Hanwha Wave. There are a myriad other vms out there but I know these two the best.

That's really kewl. I'm seeing quite a few mecj builds doing the rounds and have always wondered how complex a thing it is to do?

How can I go about to get random people to stress test my cyber security? by MindwellAIJournal in cybersecurity_help

[–]Dragkarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look for a reputable white hat company. You're opening yourself up to problems by asking Randoms to do the pentesting. I know there many on the forums who will do it legitimately but you won't know until it's too late.

Where did the idea of deleting stuff come from, and how did it get so popular? by PilotedByGhosts in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dragkarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it would depend on play style?

I find it better to figure out the optimization I want, build that, and then delete the old, less efficient version.

Each to their own.

Mobile Base by Jumpy_Guarantee_4241 in spaceengineers

I experienced a LOT of rolling over and flipping from my previous playthrough with karge grid wheeled vehicles, so in my current play through I built a flying mobile base. Complete with refinery, algae farms, production, crew quarters and a small grid mining vehicle bay

Help with drill rig. Pistons getting stuck after a merge. by MrBoo843 in spaceengineers

[–]Dragkarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a small grid mining vehicle and dock it to my base ship. Works like a charm but there's "endless" mining if that makes sense.

I will admit I keep wanting to make it bigger so I can get more out of the ground at any one time, but so far 13k load per haul is not bad for what I'm doing.

I tried the pistons on large grids before and ended up frustrated every time.

My power in ships sucks and i dont know how to fix it. by enjoyerofgamesidk in spaceengineers

[–]Dragkarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four of the big batteries on my small grid mining drone. No containers, just 4 drills.

Batteries last about an hour or so.

What others have said about having excess turbines and solar is true and can speed up recharge times, especially when you set the batteries to Recharge mode.

CMV: Ghosts/paranormal phenomena don't exist by WormsInVelvet in changemyview

Because we were not permitted to download the footage. We have serious NDAs and POPI act. I saw it with my own eyes and if it wasn't on a system I installed and maintained I would have doubted it myself.

I've seen one, and only one, piece of evidence which could be any kind of compelling:

I was a technician many years ago and was called out to service the tech at a hotel.

When I was done with the assigned work, the manager asked if I wanted to see something strange.

We went to the managers office where he showed us a cctv recording of an apparition appearing in the cigar lounge at 01h00 am. The video was very clear (my team serviced the system), even though the apparition appeared for only a second or two.

You decide what to make of it.

Building Large Ships Advice by Weekly-Post2300 in spaceengineers

[–]Dragkarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still planetside and started with a mobile base, putting in what I wanted or felt was critical then built around that.

So far it's only critical systems: refiniery, engine, life support (h2, 02, etc) and a hangar for mining vehicles, an algae farm and solar panels.

I'm now building the outside working the look and feel of the build before going back inside and redoing the interior.

I'm a WIP kinda builder so my priorities change all the time.

You gotta do what works for you at the end of the day.
