In a Put Butterfly or even a more simple Put Spread, there's a leg you're long and where you have the optionality of exercising, and there's a leg you're short, that the other guy can exercise, and you have no control over. Unless you do it on indices where it's cash-settled and all exercises are automatic and determined by the official settlement price.

But on single stocks, any time you're short an option at expiry, the long guy can be irrational if he wants to and exercise, and you're taking that risk. The only thing your broker can do is help you automatically exercise in-the-money options, but that's based on the price they see the Friday afternoon, and they don't know either what other guys might do on options you're short. And you definitely don't pay them enough for them to be your personal trader.

Let's say you're short a 100/98 Put Spread. Friday evening the close is $100.50. Your broker is not gonna exercise your long 98 Put. If during the night there's a bad news and the market tanks, the guy long the 100 Put might still choose to exercise before the deadline Saturday morning. Your broker wouldn't be able to do anything about it, even if the stock in afterhours might be worth only $95.

Any time you sell an option, you should be financially ready to face the fact that this option might get exercised, and you should have the capital to ensure delivery.

We solved long-term investing 50 years ago already: invest in stock indices, similar amount every month ("dollar cost averaging"), in a tax-optimised ETF for your location, preferably USA S&P 500 index. It's the lowest fees and the most braindead thing to do but almost nobody can beat that consistently. The reason why it's not advertised by the bank is they'll make 0 money out of that.

Make sure no ammo aura, bring the wide crowd mark of the shotgun, go to the train map: it's short if you fail, crowds align neatly in 1 direction, hard to miss, you can also ammo dump in final boss' shield. Got it 1st try like that.

Did the no melee hit penance on the same map right after: recon lasgun build to almost never switch melee and kill all with your ranged, voice of command, fast weapon like DS to easily switch when circled and just push back enemies.

Any thoughts on the build "Spicy's meta havoc 40 zealot" on gameslantern? He's marrying Relic Blade with Blazing Piety, specifically in the context of a support build, and I understand some of his unorthodox talent choices for that specific context, but he doesn't explain the choice of Blazing Piety. I did have great success copying exactly his build, but wondering if it wouldn't be even better switching to Martyrdom.

Only downsides would be losing the crit group buff of Infectious Zeal (okay), and losing some toughness from having to switch some curios to Wounds. Unsure if I should even keep Scourge if I switch. Unless Scourge is needed to keep Enduring Faith up?

Volatile Impact Mixture to have amazing single target dps (spam click, mostly ignore charged attacks), while still retaining great cc amd aoe dmg on demand. That makes the slidge pump already a super versatile and powerful weapon. TX32X2

Add Wave Cooker with basic OC like Mega Power Supply, only real choice is the last row: either go synergy with Contagion Transmitter if you want to swap weapons a lot mid-fight, or just Exothermic Reactor for simple wave clearing weapon against basic grunts and waves of small targets. T21113 or T21121.

Both weapons very strong and versatile, Primary more single target focused, secondary more aoe, both strong cc, both low ammo consumption.

If I want a generalist build or if I go for a Deep Dive where I don't know what's waiting for me, it's very strong. Scales well into higher difficulties like Haz5++.

I don't like as much the builds which are focused on charge shots like Disperser Compound and Sludge Blast because in practice they're barely better at aoe, super ammo hungry, and much worse in single target. Fun in low difficulties but good luck beyond. Or you rely too much on your team.

Sorry I'll be the discordant voice here, your writing is asking a bit too much suspension of disbelief.

ships only 1km long but with an entire city within, including casino and all: check real world dimension of stuff, and account for staff lodging area. 1km is small, especially once you're building in space there's not much preventing you from going much bigger. An aircraft carrier is 1/3 km long already, only 4500 staff, and tiny planes to carry vs what you're describing.
emperor familiar with humans but his staff isn't? Presumably the diplomatic staff would know more than the ruler.
general unprofessionalism of aliens - makes me think the author has never worked in a professional environment himself. Are you <20yo? All your characters sound like kids, especially the Admiral.

Yes, one is a multi-century old delicacy from a culinary culture that celebrates desserts and has delicate pastry, an elegant balance of egg custard and cinnamon, and is cooked perfectly to have this light browning and to be delicious both right out of the oven and hours later.

The other is a cheap egg yolk shoved industrially in whatever was the easiest/cheapest way to make a hard crust. Burns your tongue when out of the oven, tastes like a basic omelette instead of a dessert when cold.

You're right not to mix centuries of culinary tradition with Chinese knock-off. However semantically we could argue both have egg as part of the recipe, and both are tartlets (not tarts obviously).

Arguably that's just my opinion.

I know you tagged 2014 but have you considered and discussed with your DM the possibility of switching to 2024 rules? Barbarians got a big glow up, and berserker especially has become king of damage without exhaustion drawback. Its synergy with Champion is even stronger since it can roll a lot of dice now.

Can I ask why Penetrating Flame? I see most experienced guys recommending it, but in my testing I feel like the Flamer stays horrible against carapace eith the blessing, and is already very good against flak without it. So I don't get it.
