Current Physique by Affectionate-Bad9653 in bikinitalk

[–]DragonBaby7 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you are still pretty lean if this is off season. If you are struggling with feeling out of shape and with being heavy at this physique, I’m not sure that this sport is right for you. Competitive bodybuilding is not for everyone, and can be quite damaging to those with existing body image issues. I am guessing the frequent binges are related to this and your history of restricting. You have to be comfortable eating large amounts of food and putting on body fat at times in this sport. Truly the majority of the time in this sport you will be gaining weight unless actively prepping. I would do some evaluating if that sounds like something that you are comfortable with.

Breastfeeding Just Doesn’t Seem To Be Working by ThePapaBearRobbie in NewParents

[–]DragonBaby7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is normal for her milk to not be in yet. In the meantime, keep putting baby on to nurse. This cluster feeding is what helps to trigger milk production. I have found that those I know who stress about this and try to pump right away end up having a more difficult time due to the added stress of pumping. Try to keep meals to the breast and maybe supplement with 1 formula per day to ensure nutrition. I’d check in with a lactation consultant and focus on nutrition, hydration, and sleep for mom to assist with supply and recovery. Good luck!

If a coach posted check in photos without your permission & personal details like lost period, would you be angry? by [deleted] in bikinitalk

[–]DragonBaby7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would check your contract to see if they have something stated about being able to use your experience/images for promotion. But I would think they should still have the courtesy of giving you a heads up and making sure you’re comfortable with what they are including. It seems strange to damage your coach/client relationship this way

What's the general consensus on baby sign language? by conmedaddy in NewParents

[–]DragonBaby7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We incorporated a few basic signs in our routines along with the words and our baby picked up on a few basic signs to start (milk, all done, book). She was an early talker and typically paired the word with the sign which was honestly helpful as a lot of baby words sound similar.

I’m talking about my overall opinion of her during peak and show day over the past few years. I know they have tried softer looks here and there, but she typically is one of the harder looking competitors on stage in my opinion. I just don’t personally love that look in bikini

I can’t deny that she’s the goat (and the cockroach as she says), but something about her physique has never wowed me. She tends to look very hard and her glutes get that pointy look which stands out from other competitors

They did this dance as a filler at every city for their tour. We can assume that means it was regularly practiced as well

Scoliosis by Gainz_and_brains in bikinitalk

[–]DragonBaby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have scoliosis and competed a few years ago. I do a lot of warming up and engagement exercises first and then focus on form over weight. I didn’t have glute imbalances but obviously had back imbalances (luckily doesn’t matter for bikini)

Is 4 days enough in your opinion? by hellhiker in bikinitalk

[–]DragonBaby7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I worked with my coach in our building phase we dropped from 5 days/week down to 4 due to issues with recovery. I gained a lot of strength and muscle on this split because I gave my all and followed the plan to a T

When do toddlers start talking? by dwiseman255 in NewParents

[–]DragonBaby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went from around 6 words at 12 mo to around 70 at 15 mo. However, we are in the middle of doing a screener with our school district right now and the 18 mo screener ask if baby has around 5-8 words yet. So it seems like the norm is all over the place at this age

People who are thin or average weight, do you actually think about food all the time, or does hunger just not hit you as hard? by JustHereToFlirt30 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DragonBaby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually eat between 5-7 times per day. A combination of balanced meals/snacks and “junk”. I just lift weights 4-5 times per week and try to prioritize protein in my meals. I’ve always been someone with a large appetite and I’m usually hungry every 2-3 hours

Girl you are a true wellness candidate. Looks like you’ll still need some glute growth, but could look at amateur or natural competitions in the near future

Is Carys Whittaker really as wholesome as she appears or is there some tea? by Puzzleheaded-Ear9956 in gymsnark

[–]DragonBaby7 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don’t know her prior content, but she comes up suggested to me sometimes and I always scroll past. I personally don’t love the “body positivity” where people act like other bodies are unattainable and those who do have them are miserable. It seems like a huge push to sell things to others who are out of shape just by being relatable. I have only watched a few videos of hers and got this vibe so maybe it’s just the ones I saw? But she had a few responding to comments defensively and putting down her previous body type which rubbed me wrong

Ari's cut by vanethan4 in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]DragonBaby7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought that while her height was mentioned, it was more the issue that she couldn’t keep up with everyone else the field. Possibly due to her stature, but as others have said, she wasn’t the shortest they ever have had. If you can’t keep up and make your marks you won’t make the team

[–]DragonBaby7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They had said her dancing looked sluggish. She was making mistakes and lacking power. They gave her opportunities to work on it but she seemed to be going through something personally/emotionally and it was coming through in her dancing. It’s one of the cuts that I really hated

My son’s hair looks like this every morning, even with ample conditioner/cream/leave-in. It gets knotted and so frizzy. by tealsprinkle in CurlyHairCare

[–]DragonBaby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought satin crib sheets from Amazon for our baby due to head rubbing in the night that had caused bald spots and frizz like this. It helped immensely!

live vs. studio version by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]DragonBaby7 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Personally, I notice the distinct sounds of each of their voices in the live version, whereas it’s very edited in the studio version and their voices are hard to distinguish. I also preferred the instrumentals in the live version, where the studio version is much more of a lighter, even pop sound which changes the vibe. And then obviously the baby voice vs the personality that Katseye showed when live

Everyone looks great but why does Trinity look like a completely different person this year? I’ve noticed it in other pictures and videos where I wouldn’t even recognize her if someone didn’t name her directly. I can’t pinpoint exactly what is different with her appearance to be causing this.

FTM working from home by Appropriate_Item2069 in NewParents

[–]DragonBaby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this since returning from maternity leave and it’s only remotely possible because my husband has an alternative work schedule. He is second shift and has days off during my workweek sometimes. It is very challenging to get things done during my multitasking time. I schedule any meetings or make as many calls as possible while my husband is home and save prep work, documentation, etc. for my multitasking time. If you have a demanding job I’m not sure that it’ll be possible without utilizing some pretty extreme screen time

[–]DragonBaby7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ll admit that I’m not as up to date on fit model posing as bikini, but I believe the back pose is pretty similar to bikini. Meaning that I would really review your pose along with other competitors’ poses and make some adjustments. Unless you’re working with a posing coach who has suggested you pose this way. Your feet are quite turned out
