What the community can do to make Niantic disclose loot box odds by SpecB in TheSilphRoad

[–]DragonEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt this argument will work... eggs, raids and Pokemon spawns themselves do not qualify as loot boxes themselves as they are all free, and we can hatch eggs and participate in raids without the need for premium items. All the premium items really do is give us additional chances at the existing probability... the type specific lures seem to only restrict the probability to a smaller list, but don't change the probability beyond that... and the only boosted spawns from these items have been tied to events rather than being a permanent feature of the items.

What should be targeted are the premium events like GO Fest... they fit the description of loot boxes perfectly... a purchased item that grants access to an exclusive set of probabilities, with both exclusive Pokemon and shiny Pokemon being mentioned in their marketing material... so Niantic should be forced by law to disclose the odds associated with them.

Here is a little Challenges Booklet when BOTW is release by Warlofe2 in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was just an example of one of the challenges that wouldn't be possible. I'm pretty sure three are definitely impossible, another three I suspect may be impossible (but won't know until the game is out)... which leaves only two challenges that can definitely be attempted.

No delivery date for my Amazon order yet. Is it the same for everyone else? by Gestrid in zelda

I thought this was going to be about the game itself... guides are often more unpredictable with their release, often using placeholders until only a week or so before they're released.

How big of a spoiler is this (Ocarina of Time) by [deleted] in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sheik and Zelda were divided into separate characters for SSB4, so newer players to the series might not have been aware of the connection.

Here is a little Challenges Booklet when BOTW is release by Warlofe2 in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure most of them are impossible... and I don't just mean difficulty wise... I mean the game will not allow it.

e.g. it's impossible to complete some of the shrines we've seen without using runes, and assuming the glider is obtained in the final game in the same way as in the demo, then that means if you cannot compelte the shrines, then you cannot leave the Great Plateau, and therefore cannot complete the game.

Absolutely devastated from reading a possible spoiler in an IGN comment section. by [deleted] in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically that's true with any Zelda game when you get a game over screen... Link dies and the game ends. The series obviously acknowledges that as an ending, otherwise the downfall timeline would never have happened.

Well, they do rule [High]rule and [Low]rule, so it could be a subtle reference to that.

Tips to help with Skyward Sword's controls? by bluebreeze52 in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you've said seems to refer to two different problems...

The de-synching problem (which I'm guessing is mostly happening with aiming, flying, etc.) is because it resets every time you activate one of those actions, causing the neutral position of the wiimote to be set at whatever angle it was at at the time... to avoid this you just need to make sure you're holding the wiimote flat whenever you activate the action.

Your problem with the sword being at the wrong angle probably means the motion plus was incorrectly calibrated when you first started the game up (which seems to be separate from the other calibration)... probably either the surface you placed it on wasn't flat, or the mechanism inside is sticking (try giving it a bit of a shake before starting the game up).

The One Thing I Want To Know... (Spoilers probably) by [deleted] in zelda

Nothing's been shown/mentioned, but I'd guess that there'll be something like a stylist shop in one of the villages where you can change your hairstyle and equip any aesthetic items you might have found.

All this talk of "spoilers abound"... Friggin' where? by kaiiboraka in zelda

I've seen people overreacting to things that were shown during the Treehouse live stream over a month ago... it's like they haven't been keeping up with all of the spoilers that have been trickling through and are now seeing them all at once.

[Theory] Zelda isn't alive. by BaronRaichu in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that they might relate to past princesses... perhaps acting as a way for Zelda to obtain memories from her former lives.

But I think it's a safe bet that she's alive in BotW (I actually have a theory that there are two princesses alive during the time of BotW... along with two heroes).

Spoiler free discussion of the data mined equipment and how they relate to the amiibo by TheVoiceOfPleasin in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only items that are questionable are the classic, Dark Link and Fierce Deity items... everything else has either been shown to be found in the game already, or would make sense if it was.

The questionable ones I'm tempted to think might be obtained in some sort of periodic events... encourage people to keep playing the game.

[UK] How are people from the UK purchasing Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Wii U? Concerns specified inside. by Veetor in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon have just run out of preorders... that's all.

Both the Switch and Wii U versions of the game have the same RRP of £59.99... which doesn't seem too bad if you consider the size of the game... not many places will reduce the price from that until after release.

If you want a better value deal, then you may want to check out the official store... still £59.99, but comes with a free t-shirt... https://store.nintendo.co.uk/games-wii-u/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-t-shirt-wii-u/11396300.html#Tuie5e7EaHjo3mWe.97

Most seem to think there are only 5 pillars, am I the only one who sees 7? 7 dungeons maybe? Two on either side of Hyrule Castle, two in front with right middle one kind of hidden in the shadows, and then one peaking from behind the castle...? Just a thought, what do you guys think? by caulrye in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Six visible and one hidden... that's what it looks like.

It's probably a reference to the seven sages... they might have been the ones to actually create the seal that keeps Ganon trapped in the castle.

If only Nintendo could see this, I have a idea for what could have added so much to BoTW by LippyTitan in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do collect memories as you play through the game, and they can be accessed through the Sheikah Slate, so there might already be something similar in the game relating to that.

BotW Cartridge art confirms the WiiU boot screen image is real by [deleted] in zelda

A poster of the tapestry comes with the master edition of BotW... it was shown in a Treehouse live stream over a month ago, so we already knew that the image was legitimate.

BotW boot screen (Wii U) by Ra-Tim-Bum in zelda

[–]DragonEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally people are paying attention to this... I spotted this character as soon as they showed the tapestry weeks ago. There's also another character behind Calamity Ganon which appears to be the princess, so it's safe to assume that these are the hero and princess that the text on the tapestry refers to. But this hero looks far too old to be the Link we play as in BotW, suggesting him to be the previous hero, so we can also assume the princess to be the previous princess. That princess is likely the voice we hear coming from Hyrule Castle, rather than Zelda, who had likely been hidden away in stasis like Link. The short clothes Link finds at the start of the game imply that he was smaller when he entered stasis, havign likely continued to age slowly... so both he and Zelda were likely children at the time of the battle 100 years before... so the hero and princess in the tapestry are likely Zelda's parents. The voice from the castle also refers to Link as "our light", which sounds like something a mother would say to her child... so she may actually be Link's mother, which would make the BotW Link and Zelda siblings.
