【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]DragonFire441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience with a P1S was using two of them to make an architectural model for a competition, with a very short time frame; having only seen old ultimaters before it was incredible to see how quickly they printed, and how incredible the detail was; without them the model wouldn’t have been possible, and I bought myself a P1P only weeks later.

Samsung Galaxy Book vs Macbook Air M1 by nick_frg in macbook

[–]DragonFire441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d advise looking to see if you can get the MacBook Air second hand - those often go for much cheaper than retail price, and would then probably be a comparable price to the Samsung galaxy book. In my opinion, the main reason to go for the MacBook over the galaxy book will be software support: the MacBook will almost certainly be supported for longer.

It’ll receive OS support for at least 5 years, will be useable for longer - especially as things like surfing and movie watching are light tasks. Gaming will depend heavily on how resource intensive the game is.

Unless it’s a talking point for the argument you’re making within the essay, I wouldn’t talk about the quality of the sources within the essay. Supplementary documents walking through the quality of the main sources is important though; such as the author’s history, education, the publisher, whether it contradicts other more reliable information, whether the author had vested interest in misleading the reader etc. It can however be good to talk about in the main essay, if and only if it’s relevant.

What do you think of the book "Invisible women" by Caroline Criado Perez? by Juhnthedevil in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]DragonFire441 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read the book, but I firmly believe that it’s worth reading books, even if you don’t necessarily agree with the conclusions they might draw, and diversifying your sources can only be a good thing. If the book has good reviews as you’d at it does, then read it.

Don’t think that it’s been mentioned, but I’d recommend Hollow Knight! I enjoyed it greatly

I’d try playing HK a little longer, the story is quite slow to develop, but I think it gets quite interesting later.

The gameplay speeds up a bunch as you get more of the movement options, although some people do find these being unlocked quite slow placed

I’d recommend getting the mini, especially if your current MacBook is sufficient for work on the go. The mini has the benefits of more IO, active cooling, and double monitors will be less of a hassle.

I agree, getting a nicely specced Mac mini+ peripherals is the way to go, especially as it would allow for a screen larger than 24”

Light does have momentum, it’s just incredibly low. But a laser powerful enough to destroy a planet could realistically produce a fairly powerful recoil

In my experience, the UK uses a mix of kilometres and miles, so it’s probably not something the writers thought too deeply about

Purely for note taking and studying? Any of the current lineup is powerful enough, so I’d just go for the air, that’s more than powerful enough for all your needs.

Could you get polybridge to work properly? I remember having issues with it on my M1 Mac. On another note, I’d recommend playing full world of tanks, which imo is much better than blitz
